Villa 5/1

Wow, keep it tight with 2 banks of four and launch crosses at Benteke. Crazy odds.

Really fear that we will lose this with a passive performance. Actually hope Welbeck is fit and starts ahead of Giroud, also hope Walcott starts and Wenger has a brain storm and tries going around rather than through a packed defence. Not confident of winning this based on the majority of performances since Liverpool at Easter.

Have to be honest, I think even a tired off-form Giroud has more chance of scoring than a fully fit Welbeck. :| We need to sign a top top striker this summer. It has to be a priority. But of course it won't be.

I too think we are in real danger of getting beaten by Villa. They have nothing to lose, the cup final is a bonus, they will enjoy it but they will be pumped up too. We are sluggish, burnt out looking, off form and bereft of ideas. We also have a manager that will watch all of that and do nothing but fuck about with his coat and look bemused. :(

You forgot to add: berate the fourth official.

Oh, and he'll probably give a pitch side interview on the woes of FFP to anyone who’ll listen too.

This has got "Benteke final" written all over it.
Hope Sanchez steps up and carzola likes Wembley. Its not gonna be won on tactics its gonna be won with power plays. What odds Joe "he's definitely signing" Cole scores the winner?

Agreed, I have a bad feeling about this game. Some players look shot at the moment, especially our "star" men and we are not playing well.
Villa will enjoy their day but will be really up for this, fans included. Sherwood also does tactics and as we know our manager doesn't.
I really think he needs to start Ramsey, Wilshere and Coquelin for this as we'll really need some fight.
Surely he's not going to make the same mistake of bringing Chesney and Debuchy back in for this. If you see them two on the team sheet start to worry!

So just checked my ST status and still showing unsuccessful, would love to go to the Cup Final but being denied by the mash up that is Arsenal Football Club.

What annoys me even more is the person I sat too last night, had been a Season Ticket holder for 46 years and has not even got a Cup Final ticket and is going to the screen at the Emirates so sad :-(

That's is sad. Not sure what the best way of doing it is though. Certainly ST holders who also travel away should come first I think but after that I'm not sure. There will always be unhappy people when they miss out.

Think there's gotta be a better way of sorting tickets. I've got a mate who's only missed 2 games since we moved to the Emirates but can't make away games so he's missed out on a ticket again.
Also, why hasn't this game sold out yet? It's been a week since the last deadline! And I see Villa have just received 800 more tickets!
It's all very strange!!

Neither are good enough to be first choice in a title challenging team but they are what we have and for this once off game I would go for Welbeck over Giroud. Giroud is too static in the box and too erratic outside it. Welbeck is no Henry or Wright but the way Arsenal play I think he gives a better option in the box with his movement.

The club make it soo difficult to get a ticket, that thousands of fans don't bother. Then there is a free for all within the club, and they fill their boots. Time to start a conspiracy theory!

I always err on the side of "blase" when it comes to big games against smaller teams but I really fear well get turned over.

Hope Giroud starts - he's playing shit but I just don't think Welbeck up front works.

starting to get nerves now. surely we can't start as badly as last year...

then again if we do lose I'd rather it was an early goal than a tortuous late winner.

There's only 2 of our group of 6 going to Wembley & I'll be on me tod as the closest I can get to my mate is a few blocks away, the other lads will be in a boozer together. I can't not go to a Final, but I understand those that choose to turn a ticket down as they'd rather be with the lads.

The unsold tickets probably end up at the officially recognised regional "I've paid a tenner" http://www.arsenalmanchester.com/?page_id=12 supporters clubs who appear to have a "good relationship" with the box office. In my personal view these tossers have no more right to a ticket than a bloke that's supported the club for 46 years :cussing: :cussing:
