The difference is that Reagan was probably a lame duck president who was being advised on what to do and (mostly) went that advice -
trump is a self made mega wealthy arrogant c.unt who will do his own thing regardless of advice from more knowledgeable people, and that is where it will become very dangerous.
My missus refused point blank to recognize/acknowledge how deep the hatred and mistrust went as regards Hilary Clinton - she 100% believed that Clinton would win the election, and she is going around in a state of total shock and anger. Her mood obviously isn't being helped by yours truly pointing out that I told her all along that trump would win
Naturally everybody has their own selfish reasons when it comes to elections, but as an Irishman I am quite worried on how this will affect us - one of trumps (many) promises was that he would get all those American companies based abroad, to relocate to America. Obviously Ireland has a few big American corporations over here who are taking advantage of our generous taxation benefits, and if they fcuk back to America it will leave us in such a mess that it will make the last recession look like fun
The bit in red is not quite the full story. Trump isn't a self made man. He inherited his initial fortune from his father, Fred, and whilst he did expand that fortune by risky investment, it's hardly a real risk if you have a fuckload of daddy's money to fall back on! Trump went from rich to even richer, which is more easily accomplished than rags to riches, like his dad did.
Delighted your loony lefty missus is on the downer, augie. I have a brother-in-law that has apparently been ranting on Facebook all morning.

I suggest you start talking to your missus about Hillary Clinton going to jail soon. See how she responds to that...

Overreaction is a dangerous thing. Trump is there for four years. If companies are doing well it is unlikely that they will up sticks immediately. They will wait and see. So should the rest of us.

I'm hopeful now that Clinton lost again she will finally fuck off and not run next time and we will never again have to look at that gaping vagina of a fake smile of hers.

Couldn't really give a fuck about that country except it's funny to see so many of them moaning. She's a complete fake, nasty, smug *word censored* who has been made to look a massive mug today. He's an imbecile and a nutcase but no more of a rich spoil brat than any other of their presidents. At least we don't have to put up with her Cherie Blairesque boat for the next however long. Overall, fuck em.

If he doesnt tow the NWO line his plane will crash or something similar . All the Republicans since Nixon and since Carter for democrats have been NWO puppets .
Trump is neither but wil have to follow their line or be removed !
He cant be worse than Obama who was a huge let down for Ordinary people !
Its like having to choose a babysitter between Jimmy Saville or the McCanns !
Oh and watch the dollar fall brexit lovers !

As a few of our American Gooners may well be saying at the outcome of this election:
HOLY SHIIIIIT!
Some have said it is like Brexit only BIGGER and Worse....which I can understand totally, but if ours is brexit, then surely this should be called 'Trumpet.'.
