As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Havertz has scored 5 goals in 14 league games this season - that is barely better than 1 goal every 3 games, so I'd love to know what c.unts believed we could win a league with him as our main striker Of course that issue is only compounded by the fact that his back up (jesus) is worse than dogshite and has a goals to games ratio of something 1 in 20 and has us yearning for nketieh and sonogo at this stage
I remain convinced that we will not sign a top striker next month and we will continue to reap what we sow in what is THE main position in any football team, but maybe then it might awaken those who refuse to question or doubt the cone boy
I'm afraid it won't augie my friend. I think we're a long way from the peasants starting to revolt. It was beyond belief how long it took for a significant number of supporters to turn against the French clown and even by the time he went, I'm far from convinced that there was a significant majority that wanted him gone. I know we can talk about him having credit in the bank, but 12+ years of managed decline should have eroded that credit far sooner than it did.
Most of our supporters have a supine mentality, which long pre-dates Wenger. I know the scum fans turn overnight, but our lot are the polar opposite, who shrug their shoulders with a "what can you do?" attitude. Arteta has probably got another 3 years of spending money and winning fuck all, before there's any serious screaming from a large enough body of supporters. Prior to that, the only danger he might face of the sack is if we drop out of the CL places.
He has been fully backed by the club for 5 years and this is his team, so he has no excuses, but I fear he's here for quite a while yet. It's why I said on this thread yesterday that I hope I can regain my zero fucks attitude, because the alternative is constant frustration and fury. No good.
And tbh when enough of our lot turn, it won't be huge protests, it will be exactly what finally did for Wenger: apathy. They will eventually stop turning up in enough numbers that the club cannot excuse away all the empty seats.
That level of apathy is probably a few more trophyless seasons away.
That says it all about the ownership tbh. In football a manager keeping his job or being sacked shouldn't be based on apathy. It's a results business based on a realistic expectation of what a club can or should achieve.
We, The Arsenal, should be consistently winning trophies. No excuses. Even the old fraud could manage it when we was absolutely shite. Diet Pep has spent in the region of £800 million and has only managed it once with someone else's team. But as you say DB we've been here before with fan apathy.
And, I've said this before, but we have now gone the longest period in our history since being in the top division without winning the league. Wenger was responsible for most of it, but Arteta is now responsible for 25% of that total Shame

Yes, that’s very true. As we know from the Wenger protests, our supporters aren’t up for making too much of a fuss….it wouldn’t do, would it?
We prefer the odd tut tut while watching the game and after that a sulky display of apathy by not turning up.
Funnily enough, the club have introduced a new rule that if you don’t turn up for a certain number of games in a season…I think from memory it might be 10 games…then you can’t renew your season ticket. If your seat goes on ticket transfer, then that’s fine, but you can’t leave it empty. I did wonder if it was a means of stopping any future empty seat tactic from the fans.

If the victims do go and win the league this season, it will totally blow the ground out from underneath the cone boy - up to this he has had the defence of being impossible to compete with citeeh's wealth, but if the scousers do it after signing zero players last summer (they signed a keeper but sent him back out on loan) then he and his worshippers can no longer use money or transfer budget as a defence of his ineptitude

But our cultists tell us THERE IS NO ONE OUT THERE TO REPLACE ARTETA SCREECH SCREECH etc etc.

Yep, both the clubs above us at present finished below us last season and both have new managers. Amazingly, neither hired De Zerbi.

We’ll be taking it to the grave. Heartbreak at never having seen De Zerbi in The Arsenal boss seat.
