What a piss poor bumch of negotiators we have.

Club Captain, World Cup winner, European champion, 4 years still on his contract................. Â£40m (pounds not euro's) and all up front or fuck off.

Stupid add on clauses that may never materialize - I only hope we have the sense to insist on a sell on of 25percent for when Man City buy him for Â£60m in 2 years time.

We may as well change the club badge (AGAIN

) to someone bent over with their trousers down ready. Anelka, Overmars, Henry, Vieira, Hleb, Adebayor, Cole now Cesc.

When we will start acting like we are a big club again ????

The guy has more assists than anyone, including Xavi & Iniesta, in Europe. Won the European Championships, World Cup (including setting up the winning goal), has four years left on his contract & we're letting him go for less than a lanky, pony-tailed Geordie *word censored*.

Any other club would have paid 50 mil or so for Cesc. But Fabregas has put us in this position as he wants to go to Barcelona and Barcelona only. They know this, and they're fucking us. We always knew they were playing silly buggers with us. Unfortunatley for Arsenal Cesc is determined to go. We've been double fucked by both barca and to a certain extent Cesc.

A sad end really.

Oh I agree Dan his true value on an open market would be circa Â£60m (which is why I mentioned about a sell on clause if Man City rescue him from his catalan hell in 2 years time) trouble is Cesc ain't signing for any other club - he is only interested in Barca at this point in time, so a more realistic, but still bargain price of Â£40m would just about be acceptable but we can't even manage that.

We sell our shirt sponsorship too low, kit deal too cheap, stadium naming rights for next to nothing and our club captain for peanuts.

The only thing we seem to want to charge top dollar for is our tickets to the matches to fleece our own fans to make up for our inadequacies in every other aspect of our marketing.

Club would surely have to splash out though. I mean to sell Cesc is a blow, but if we signed 2 to 3 quality players it would ease the pain and benefit the squad.
