Re: Wenger Out protests
Did they manage to get good numbers?
Re: Wenger Out protests
It was good to tour with the lads on the Battle Bus today. I managed to get back in time for the third minute of the game. It was good to see some fellow Gooners off here again and to meet a new face off of here.
We looped up to Archway and down to Angel before going down the West End and out to Wembley. Lots of banners, lots of photos. Even 'Arsène' was there with his coveted VT as well - not that he'll be getting that this season. I'm looking forward to the next event. Hope the momentum can be kept up. UTA.

What was the reaction like?
Re: Wenger Out protests
There was about seven of us. Reaction was mixed. Some pro, some anti.IW8Goalmachine wrote:How were the numbers Sean?

It kicked off when we went past The Torch near the end of the route. Some utter cúnts threw a few bottles at us. Wherever you stand on Wenger, you don't fucking do that shit to anyone, let alone fellow Gooners. On the other side, we had a few chanting 'Wenger Out' when we finished by Wembley Park.

Have had an idea - is it worth starting a Facebook.page "doing the 92 to get Wenger Out" and have a picture of a banner, stickers , signs of Wenkers Out at / outside all the 92 league grounds.
By doing this those Gooners spread around the country , unable to attend the marches etc can still do.their bit, by getting a sticker up outside their local club be it Huddersfield,.Portsmouth,.Southend etc
Re: Wenger Out protests
Well done ! Pity about the idiots but that is where we now are.
Keep it going.

No worries, mate. Although I was hacked off the 'schoolgirls' never turned up. Flip-flopping bitchesStuartL wrote:Well.played lads and the 3 schoolgirls it keeps the pressure / media momentum up.

That's a good idea. Make sure the organizers hear about that. The bus conductor was suggesting we do a Facebook page for the protests as well. I was telling Matty that social media is great for getting the word out. I see the Twatter feed is doing well. It's always good to get lots of photos, hashtags and @-ing people and organisations. We're not sure about another march just yet. Hopefully there will be something else on soon. Like the banner tour last weekend, there's always something else that can be done in the London area, no matter where the team are playing.
Cheers, mate. I hope something else can be done soon. I'd have thought we'd be leaving the Scum game alone, as well as the FA Cup final. Hopefully there will be a big protest at the final home game. Until then, I know as much as you do.RobG wrote:Well done ! Pity about the idiots but that is where we now are.

There is also a concern, in my opinion, in light of today's result that the fans have flip-flopped again.

Re: Wenger Out protests
This is the problem, there are a core group of really good lads that will get involved in everything but we need more than 7. If no one else can be bothered, then why should we keep giving up our time and energy?Sean wrote:There was about seven of us.IW8Goalmachine wrote:How were the numbers Sean?

You can be pretty sure that the people who tied to scupper the bus was Islington Police themselves, they have a long History habit of ringing coach companies/pubs/event halls and spooking them ,they've done it to us for many years for football and non football events . The liason officer sits in the ground with the club people so they are close .
In the past they have boarded the open top buses and strip searched people too just to harass them too.

Trust me, it was neither the police or the club.Herd wrote:You can be pretty sure that the people who tied to scupper the bus was Islington Police themselves, they have a long History habit of ringing coach companies/pubs/event halls and spooking them ,they've done it to us for many years for football and non football events . Was it simply the bus company not wanting their bus getting damaged?
