Always some excuse being churned out by that lot to deflect attention from the real problem, eh? Luckily, there remains us rebels who can remember us being just as shiite with Santi. It's not the bloody personnel. Buy Messi and Ronaldo and TOF would still find a way to fuck up every season.

started really well had a great game at Watford, bags of confidence long range shots were spectacular then dropped??

Since then looks like he is confused his confidence has gone along with any long range efforts...obviously told to cut it out

Once again Mr Wenger showing his wonderful man management skills...to add to all his other abilities

More than likely, Wenger has sweet Fuck all to do with his signing
. It seems odd, that given Wenger has a track record of waiting until the last minute to make signings, that he would sign this guy before the Euro's. Then again, Wenger is a senile old wanker, who thinks Ramsey deserves to be a starter at a big club, so nothing would surprise me.
Sounds about right, Xhaka was bought almost immediately after the window opened with no haggling over a £35m price tag. That is not Wenger, normally he haggles for weeks on end until the deal is done or more often, falls through. Perez as well, enormous clamouring and fan pressure that couldn't be ignored to buy a striker, so now he is going to try prove that he never needed Xhaka or Perez and that the club, against his advice, has just wasted money. It makes me STEAM just thinking about it. We keep forgetting... it's ALL about him.
Yep. 100% correct. :( I just wish he'd fucking leave. Just go. Give us back our club. :|

The 70th minute sub thing is all down to statistics. I remember reading somewhere that Wonga is massively into stats and number crunching for predicting how tired a player will be, how much he will be in the 'red' zone ie: more prone to injuries etc. A lot of what Wonga does is based around stats and numbers. The 70th minute is supposedly the optimum time to make a substitution, hence he does it......ALL THE TIME! :banghead:

Unbeaten since the opening w/e.
Through to the KO stage of the CL.
Three points of top of the table.
Through to the QF of the League Cup.

Everyone rushes to their keyboard to moan and bitch
Not one hint of positivity.

Welcome to the modern fan base

Uhmm... we were joint top, then a point off top, then 2 points and now 3 points off. As for the CL, we all know how that ends. We're not in ascendancy here. It's the same tired old shiite we have grown all too wary of.

do you know that Arsenal have never gone more than 18 years in a row without winning the title for over 100 years now.
this season looks like being not different to the previous 13 (where we did not maintain a title challenge beyond March)

this is not the modern fan base moaning.
the modern fan base is quite happy to attend our corporate bowl each week to see our welsh superstar strut his stuff and gaze in awe as Theo Walcott gets closer to 100 goals after his decade at the club.
the modern fan base would rather spend £80 to watch PSG in a glorified european group match rather than £10 to watch Southampton in a crucial cup quarter final.

WE ARE MOANING BECAUSE NOTHING CHANGES OR IMPROVES AT THE CLUB

LG, i think most of us would be happy to win any of those competitions however as with the last 12 seasons where we started relatively strongly and faded away only to come back when we needed to secure 4th place to retain CL football we're all fairly jaded by this point and therefore i am unsure where your current enthusiasm comes from without any recent evidence to back your attitude up.

In fact i'd say already Theo has faded from where he was at the start of the season, Ozil has disappeared in most big games recently, Sanchez look shattered by 70 mins but TOF keeps playing him, our defense is back to scaring the shit out of us on a regular basis, Cech looks ropey at times, Ramsey is as bad as he's ever been, Iwobi has faded already, Ox can't get enough game time to play with consistency, Elneny has been average to poor, Coq is his usual headstrong self although has so far managed to avoid red, Xhaka only get bit parts most games and AW and SB might as well be doing the mannequin challenge for all the use they are on the sidelines so where exactly should we get our hopes up from?

Not claiming we will go on to win one of the big two.
Wenger's got his shortcomings and the squad needs improving.

But the fact that positive sentiments are rarely spoken here is bizarre.
There's issues to be concerned about but there's a lot of good going on.

Met one of the AKB sheeple after the PSG debacle. I asked him how he felt things were going now we'd limped to second in the group AGAIN, were sitting fourth in the league AGAIN, hadn't beaten a single team of note this season (bar the chavs which was the one great team performance so far) but the standard shwoing in any of the other "big" games has been completely dire - Liverpool, United, Spuds, PSG (x2).

He looked at me as if I was a simpleton (easy now  ) shrugged his shoulders and said....."It's November after all".

There's no point debating with these people, they're pre conditioned to accept mediocrity. Arsenal always do crap in November, what was I to expect? We always finish second in our group and get dicked by the big boys of Europe after Christmas why was I so surprised it was the same this year?

Our form against our title rivals has been absolute toilet for the most part which would lead you to believe that our chances of winning the league are in and around the same odds of me tea bagging Nat Sawyer and spuds doing the treble. But hey it's November after all :banghead:

Heres a couple of positives for you.....

we are 4 points in front of scum, and Sanchez is world class

As regards Wenger would not know where to start, surely his glaring flaws and lack of management skills are exposed to all by now

if not its beyond debate.......

I've got another positive - wenger is one year older than he was last year.

If you know what I mean

It's not about being positive or negative, it's being realistic. Since the invincibles season, we haven't challenged for the title, at the business end. In the CL, we have been knocked out at the last 16 stage, 6 seasons in a row. So many Wengerites happily want us to "judge him in May", but when May comes, they proclaim non-achievements like CL qualification as success.

I don't think getting to the quarter final of the league cup is an achievement.

Coming 2nd out of 4 is nothing to shout about - PSG should have won both matches against us.

3 points off top spot, with 3 teams above us, 2 of which have new managers just emphasises we are stuck in the rut.

Unbeaten since opening day, but playing shite - we have only played well v Chelsea

Roll on May.
