No bloody way will he - with better players around him cesc will take control of a game and dictate the tempo and imo thiago, as good as he looks to be at the mo, is simply not that type of player imo

This is silly because we have peeps harping about Wngr inheriting Adams et al, and yet it was Wenger, not Graham, who assembled the Invincibles back four of Lauren, Campbell, Toure, and Cole. This was a greater feat than anything George Graham did.rigsby wrote:What you mean Bould who we signed from Stoke?
In short, Wenger DOES know how to put together a defence, but for a variety of reasons–not least of which financial, and having to compete with sugar daddy clubs for Europe’s top players–has found it difficult to do so in recent years. “Replacingâ€

SSN are reporting that we are looking for 30m for nasri............is it possible our gobshites running the club could attempt to take the piss like that ?
Cesc Fabregas our captain and best player who has a few years left on his contract is out the door for 25.9m and we have an inconsistant dickhead with 1 year left on his contract and we are looking for 4m more
Just sell the *word censored* for 22-25m and get rid

There is no excuse whatsoever for leaving signings until a day or so before the new season. Wenger does it every year. There is also no excuse for continuing to buy cheap nothing Frenchmen or Africans who invariably turn out to be average at best. Wenger fucked up enormously paying 10-15m for Squillaci and Koscielny last year, that money would have bought an established quality CB. In his endless search for a bargain Arsole continues to put the club in jeopardy. Buying Dann is the cheap option and he's obviously not first choice or that highly regarded as we only watched him last weekend and are talking to Birmingham now. The whole things smacks of last minute panic buying, paying as cheap a fee as possible. I actually think Dann is an improvement on Kos and Squill but that doesn't mean he's the calibre of player we should be signing.
Big club? Don't be silly, we are a mid sized selling club soon to be fighting for a top 6 place. This is where Wenger and the board want to take us, so suck it up because there's no getting out of it for a year at least, until Wenger has damaged us even further.

No it isn't, and your point has nothing to do with what I said. People were goinjg on about he was shit because he played in a league below, and that he was nothing compared to Bould. I pointed out Bould was signed from a 'lesser' club and went on to become a brilliant player. As have many others. It stinks a bit of snobbery is all. This is silly

See even Hednesford Town are signing "super quality" now
1412: FOOTBALL - Hednesford Town, of the Northern Premier Division, have signed former Southampton and West Brom defender Pele on non-contract terms.
The Hednesford manager due to make a press conference to say how Pele has saved them from dizzying prices.....
