THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He is the only manager to have won the league for 3 different clubs

US
Man Utd by selling them RVP
Chelsea by "not having room" for Cesc.

Full time whistle goes at Goodison and the AKBs are on Twitter immediately saying City's defeat proves that Wenger is the only manager for Arsenal.. Pep didn't lose 8-2 or 6-0 or 5-1. Did he?

Perhaps they need reminding of our 4-0 defeat to Koeman at Southampton last year ?
Or was that special circumstances all over again.

Koeman is fast becoming a very credible replacement option.

That was last year, the reset button has since been pushed. In fact did it even really happen at all???

'Who else is there'.

I dont know, how about, Ronald Koeman, the man who has embarrassed Wenger with PSV, Southampton and Everton. Who has just smacked Man City 4-0, to go with his routs of you guessed it, Wenger.

A man who never complains about resources, nor makes excuses for his own players or and why they lose.

I just hate that pompous question of 'who else is there'. It makes it sound like Wenger is the only manager in the world. They say it all the time 'who else are you going to replace him with'. And they leave it at that, they think just by asking the question in a rhetorical matter, they put to bed any suggestion of replacing him.

Those w**kers need an absolute battering - why constantly use other team's shortcomings as a defence for our own shitiness ? Wenker is indeed a c.unt, but these akb w*nk*rs are every bit as bad   :censored: :censored: :censored:

In fairness, Leicester only won the PL because of Wenger's vision and genius. Wenger said that you don't need to spend "dizzying" amounts on superstar players and that the "bubble will burst" and "financial doping" and "leetle bit jaded" etc etc fucking etc... and then good old Arsene spent 10 years NOT winning the PL with no superstars...

...welcome to the Wonderful Wacky World of Wenger! :barscarf:

Nothing that hasn't been said on this thread before but still worth a read as it's one of the best constructed articles I've read in a while making the case for a desperate need for wholesale change at the club - The Gooner

Excellent article...he's missed nothing, left nothing out. Wenger should be sat down & forced to read it then be forced into a Q & A.

A "good poker player"...? WTF?

If Fergie threw down 3 aces, Wenger would throw down his single ace and shout "Snap!!" :banghead:

These same AKB'S slag off clubs like Chelsea, Man City or Man united, as though we as a club are on a pedestal looking down on them. This of course conveniently forgets that wanker hasn't won a title in 12(soon to be 13 years) and would rather redefine success than attempt to achieve actual success. This level of delusion is like a spurs fan, who keeps thinking that if they finish above us once, then they are somehow a bigger club than us.
