Of course it is very possible that they sell the swede and move cavani into the middle, but I would reckon that will be a slim chance
I'd be delighted with Cavani.

He was superb for Napoli, scoring loads of goals over 3 years before his move to PSG. He also works his arse off from what I've seen. 8)

Damn you augie; you've got my hopes up now :x

It looks to me that "Higgy' çould be the most gettable option available. I would be more than happy with him.

Either one of the Bender boys would be good to get in the squad, however, I don't totally agree with all the stabbing Coquelan has received. He is not top drawer but we are better with him in the team.

Higuain is the most unrealistic price of all the strikers we have been linked with  I do agree that he is a goal poacher, but I also feel that he is nowhere near mobile enough to do the job we need. Stating the obvious but lewandoski would be the ideal signing therefore not a hope in hell of it happening

Hey Wenker, it's sooo simple: get Lewandowski or Cavani together with (Lars) Bender or Martinez. :barscarf:
Never ever get Benzema or Higuain. :cussing:

Agreed Cavani would be nowhere near worth big money. Higuain is overrated, too slow, miss chances in big matches.
Lewandowski is easily the best striker of the lot. Better than Benzema too - spending £50m on Benzema would be slightly mad, but then I remember it's Wenger we're dealing with here.

No striker is coming....

At least he's spending £270k p/w on Theo and Giroud!
 :barscarf:

It's being reported in Spain that Wengee has out if Rodgers for Cheryshev of Real Madrid, €21m apparently.
If theres any truth in this it'd be classic joker Wenger! Last position that needs filling lol

If it's true that he's a left winger, how can you say it's the last position that needs filled?

The left midfield/winger position is one that I think is a real issue if Sanchez gets injured for a lengthy period of time, as who else will play there in his absence? :o

Ozil? - no thanks; I'd rather he stayed central. He's not a wide man!
Wilshere? - again, no thanks.
Cazorla? - no, he's much better centrally.
The Ox? - better on the right.
Walcott? - no chance!
Welbeck? - maybe the best back up option on the left but hardly great.
Rosicky? - lol, never fit
Gibbs? - pfff

I accept we need a striker more, but last position that needs filling? disagree strongly.

You honestly crack me up at times lol.

Errrm: holding midfield. Coquelin. He isn't Makelele. Please stop this madness, especially after Ramires ran him ragged yesterday.
Centre back: Mertesacker? So long as he's a pillar of the defence, Arsenal have no chance in the PL or CL.
Striker: I mean, where do you even begin?

There were 4 key positions that needed addressing this summer, and almost every pundit and observer agreed: it was the spine of the team. As it has been for 10 years

Left winger? LMFAO

Don't forget we have Mr £140k a week who must be able to play any wing on that kinda money

I actually saw Rafa's presser and I'm starting to think there's def sthg in this Benzema story.
Don't get me wrong: he isn't coming.
But it's clear Real would rather sell. Rafa exact quote: "I think Benzema will stay"
Hardly a ringing endorsement eh! I can't blame them for wanting to sell: Rafa is gonna play with a single number 9, in a 2 up front. Bale will always play so Benzema basically doesn't fit in. Now imagine, someone is offering you £50m for someone you no longer really need?
Of course they want to sell. Problem is Benzema is no fool and obviously doesn't want to go.
They've already bent the club over for £42m on Ozil, so they probably can't resist bending Wenger over again (£50m for Benzema is insane). Like I said though, irrelevant as the player isn't coming....
