THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What is important is we focus on the next game and do not give too much importance to one fan," said Wenger. "It's not me at stake, it's Arsenal Football Club.

Outrageous comments from Wenger but I expect nothing less from him now.

His head is so far up his own ringpiece that his shoulder blades are bumping against his arsecheeks  he's a fucking  embarrassment

I try not to see or hear him but when I unfortunately do I picture someone walking in and melting him one..

I'm the same. Every time I hear his fucking annoying voice or see that clueless mug, it makes my blood boil. I would be thrilled to bits if one day someone just strolled up and nutted him during one of those horrible fucking press conferences where he sits there and spouts this shit.
The only redeemable thing about losing matches these days is seeing him look an utter *word censored* right after.

"You cannot be a fan until last Tuesday and not be a fan anymore and not be behind the team this Saturday, it doesn't make sense," Wenger said at his news conference on Thursday. "All the other clubs, everywhere we fight -- with Man United, Man City, Liverpool -- they have big expectations as well and big histories.
The typical strawman argument. You're right Arsene, that doesn't make sense, but that isn't what has happened, I have no doubt that fan, like many others, has wanted you gone for years.

Trying to make out that fans are unhappy only since/because we lost to Chelsea. What a twat. The thing is, AKBs and some pundits lap it up and slag off Arsenal fans for their knee-jerk reaction.

He thinks it's only one fan because none of us have had the bottle / drive / determination to sort out bigger protests. And I include myself in that.

I'll get abuse for this but we're to blame as we all moan on here but we've never organised ourselves into the sort of loud and visible protests that the media would've picked up on. Our anger would make headlines if we all did it at matches.

Too many fans think he can't be removed so why bother. We've been too passive because the citizens of several countries have removed shit governments so it can be done.

Unfortunately that is the problem, there are loads of people who will talk about what we should be doing but precious few who will actually do something about it. Which is why Wenger will keep on signing contracts as there is very little pressure on him.

The Mirror have run our season with Mourinho, Klopp, Conte, Pochettino and Pep as our manager through Football Manager simulation. And our finishing ranges were 3-5th.

So this is the latest argument, 'dont sack Wenger, because we will finish no different', as per the scientific research of...........football manager.

Perhaps its light hearted, but you can never tell these days.

Unfortunately, for once Mr Myopic was right, it was only just one fan in this instance and therefore he can say what he did with complete impunity :banghead:

DB10GOONER wrote:BWK great post buddy. I have no doubt at all that when Wenger finally does go the new manager will be on a hiding to nothing. Unless he wins either the PL or CL in his first season the AKB sheep will be in uproar with self righteous indignation and the amount of "we told you so" bollocks on twatter and Arsenal forums may actually break the Internet.
Who cares, he'll be gone. That is the ONLY objective at the moment.
