He's on borrowed time IMO. Smudger, The Twitchers loin fruit, Curtis Davis on Skank Sports match day programme all agreed its time for a change. On SSN Charlie, Merse and the two bugles while not "wanting to call for the managers head" also indicated its time to go. Even the fence sitter Henry while not saying "Au Revoir" did say its been 12 years and its not good enough.

A few did mention he might make the move upstairs - I'd be more in favour of keeping him close to the technical area. Who else can berate the 4th official as if the 4th official is actually going to walk out on the pitch, grab the ref by the bollox and say "U got that decision wrong old chap, reverse that call and disallow that goal". He could also let the new 4th place chaser know when its 70 mins to make the preordained subs coz as the man above pointed out The Ox getting hauled off when playing out of his skin was certainly one of the subs that are made prematch. There was a time when froggy always got taken off and he'd take off that sweat bandage and fuck it on the floor. Nowadays he'll get the full 90 coz the coward can't make the tough calls and bench someone and will always go with the easy option.

While there is still hope among some that Wenger will stay, preparations are being made in case he doesn't. Sources at the club are convinced that if a significant majority of fans at The Emirates turn on him in coming weeks, Wenger will leave at the end of his contract this season.

There is still a two-year contract ready to be agreed but the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich and forthcoming FA Cup fixtures will be crucial in determining whether Wenger feels that he has the support to carry on.

On Saturday Alexis Sanchez scored both goals. The first-half opener rebounded into the net off the Chilean's right hand, prompting referee Mark Clattenburg to later apologise to the Hull players for his mistake, according to full back Andrew Robertson.

The second was a penalty in stoppage-time after Hull's Sam Clucas had been sent off for handling Lucas Perez's goal-bound header.

'I'm sorry for Hull but I feel that we had as well to cope recently with some decisions. There are goals we have conceded — like at Man City — where nobody said it was offside. I am sorry, I want the right decisions to be made,' Wenger said after the game.'

He's not going anywhere....The FA cup game is a banker and even if we lose 8-1 to Bayern it won't matter, because you know....it's Bayern. Yesterday's stunning, totally unexpected victory over high flying Hull has shown me that this is not a manager we should be getting rid of just yet. In fact somebody just told me to be careful what I wish for :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Wenger quoted on BBC site
'I know you want me to rest but I am not ready'

He's staying!

What I can't forgive Wenger for is getting me, a supporter of 50 years, to the stage where I want Arsenal to miss out on the top four, even if that means finishing behind Tottenham for just one season, because that seems to be our only hope of getting the board to act on him. No Arsenal fan should ever feel like that, but I will admit that I do.

It may have been stated before but the way the club and manager are handling the whole contract situation is wrong in my opinion.

If he knows he will be staying on, at least announce it already. That way, the team knows what is happening (if they didn't before) and can focus on their goals for the rest of the season and the stability is there to put plans in place for the summer/next season ( I know I know!). A;so, we are all put out of our misery of false hope and can order the razor blades or pop off down the local non league side for the next 2 or however many years!

If he is planning to go, then tell everyone! I feel this would unite almost all the fanbase for one last push for the rest of the season. I actually think this kind of factor could give the team an extra push to actually strongly compete for the CL or push the league down to the wire.

Either way this state of limbo isn't doing anyone any good. Prolonging false hope for those of us who want him to call it a day, or causing uncertainty with the likes of Ozil/Sanchez etc.

Like a lot of how the club is run these days, it's really very poor.

I have never known or seen ANYTHING like this in my life. He's like the devil incarnate...he is either totally and completely selfish or he is delusional close to the point of madness.

He'll stay and I hope in ends in indescribable ignominy. He deserves that as it all will be self inflicted.

The Bayern caning coming up...ignored, because ...after all it's Bayern (Real, Barca....) I hope we plummet down to 7th or 8th but we won't because everybody around us cannot take advantage of our shiteness, so also always comes to his rescue. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

That's the point I am making - wenker has a job for life with the c.unts that make the decisions at board level, but he simply does not accept being questioned by fans who haven't worked 30 years in football, and it is this arrogance that could cause him to spit out his dummy and fcuk off back to france. The man thinks that he is god and that we should all worship at his feet, and when he gets any abuse or backlash from the fans OR the media, he has an absolute meltdown and provoking more of these meltdowns can only be a good thing. He has had many pops at our fanbase over the years, but talking up scum fans as better than us is up there with the worst comments the c.unt has ever aimed in our direction - he has been around long enough to know the score, and he knows that comparing us negatively with those dirty b**tards will piss a lot of Gooners off.
Our fans should absolutely turn up the heat on this senile French c.unt in the coming weeks - even if it doesn't have the desired results, it still has more of a chance of working than doing nothing

Thierry Henry doing his best work to defend Wenger. This time, he is saying only Sanchez would get in the Chelsea team - trying to imply Wenger is working with inferior players and should thus be cut some slack.

I would say our back 4 are better as individuals. The idea that David Luiz and Gary Cahill are better than Kosicleny and Mustafi is a joke. Chelsea are just more organized and defend as a unit - which is something we flat out dont do. The fact Bellerin, Kosicleny, Mustafi, Monreal back line is so often in disarray is damming indictment on Wenger.

Kante and Matic are a very good pairing - but Wenger would never go with two holding players, so even if he had Kante or Matic, he would drop one for a Cazorla type player. Chelsea also have a big two in Costa and Hazard, just as we do with Ozil and Sanchez. I really dont understand Henry efforts ro portray Chelsea as infinielty better than Arsenal in terms of quality.

Although it so often happens - pundits downplaying the ability and quality of our sqaud in order to rationalize Wenger's job performance. Like fuck Chelsea have a better sqaud that us - they do not. I think we have a little extra quality, now some may disagree and say Chelsea have more quality, and if they do - it wouldnt be by much.

Why does the club and squad always have to come down to Wenger's level? If Wenger cant win - Arsenal must be talked down as a club not expected to win things. If Wenger doesn't win with this sqaud, the sqaud must be talked down as not capable of winning. So many pundits have pegged the expectations of Arsenal to what Wenger can deliver. I.e, Wenger can only deliver a top 4 finish, thus whats what the expectations should be. Wenger can only ever get to the last 16 of the CL, thus, thats what exceptions should be.

But it doesn't change my unshaken view that it will be Wenger's choice when he goes because the board will never have the stones to sack him or not offer him a whopping great extension.
I have no doubt that when Wenger goes (May 2017  ), thats how it'll be spun. That it was Wengers decision and his alone. But dont underestimate the effect the negative publicity has, is, and will continue to have on him and board members. Some of whom are not conmitted to him.
