I would expect the same with regards to reinvestsing the cash but I highly doubt we'll sign another striker. Giroud is the new first choice if Van Persie leaves and if we fail to offload Chamakh then he will be the backup again. Still have no idea what the deal is with Park Ju Young.

After the last couple of transfer "incidents" Arsenal need to show everyone that they won't just allow this sort of thing to happen. I appreciate Van Persie wanting to leave but that shouldn't mean the club just let him go without a fight. Actions speak louder than words but i'm hopeful it won't just be a straight up repeat of last season.

Scenario: They already knew that van persie wanted to leave, and that there is no way they would run down the contract of a player of such value (there is little evidence to suggest otherwise). Therefore, they bought this guy in the knowledge that they would make twice as much on an incoming transfer fee, and reducing the like for like wage bill. Plus with a ton of other potential offloads, and the promotion of younger/squad players.

I've not seen much, but what I have seen of Kagawa..he's quality and Fergie will bring out the best in him.....Once upon a time I might have said the same of Wenker....but I have No Faith in him any more.
