STOKE CITY THREAD
I think this incident may actually galvanise both the team and the fans together.
Really feel for Ramsey, gutted seeing that and hopefully it maybe not as bad as Eduardo.
I thought both Cesc and Wenger gave good interviews.
What amazes me in respect of Sky is the fact they don't comment on the actual tackle, NOT one word.
I thought the team look galvanised at the end.

The guy is a legend for me. I know people say he's quiet & doesn't always shout at or gee up the team but he's the youngest captain since TA6 was handed the armband i believe? And a guy who is constantly linked with moves back to Barca but clearly bleeds Arsenal & fights our corner. He has my full respect.

Clichy was a different player today! Bendtner's goal was pure class. I still don't rate the lad but credit where it is due. Class header.
Fucking Eboue is still a diving cheating arsehole. Which is a shame because at least he runs at the oppo... hardly ever an end result from him but at least he has heart.
Cesc was class today. MOTM by a mile. Everything good went through him. Sol and Tommy V fought hard against big physical strikers and did well. Nasri looks to be getting back to form too.
A great comeback and a HUGE result.

Apart from the moment Eboue decides to go walkabouts on their goal, this was a top performance in terms of grit and turning the game round. Good luck Aaron over the next few months matey.
There is just one problem though. You look at the fixture list and start to think really stupid things but I'll start behaving myself when the beer wears off!!

Agreed. I really don't think Nic has enough in his locker to be a top PL striker but he does pop up with the odd vital goal. And it was a top class goal today. Top class.norfbankN16 wrote:no other arsenal forward would have scored that goal that nic did
I wish Nic was a better player because I like his self belief and arrogance. It pisses oppo players off big time too. Unfortunately I just don't think he has it all there...

I thought the same but about Cesc.Perryashburtongroves wrote:Right, I've calmed down. Had to go and wash my face, have a drink of water and a quick lie down in a darkened room.
That was a massive three points. If we do win the league, this is the day that did it. If we don't, at least we can look at our boys with pride and respect. We came back from a goal down against a team that has a strong home record and where we have never won but we showed that bit of steel that we have occasionally lacked recently. Regardless of Aaron's injury, we got the win and can build.
As for AR, I don't really care whether the thug meant it or not. The fact is that a player has a broken leg and the c**t that did it will miss just three games and then come back to play football. Sometimes in life accidents happen through negligence and people have to live with what they have done. Whether it is intentional, players need to be properly punished. Shawcross was not quick enough, not good enough and went in too hard. He had no control, he lacked the professional thought and rational thinking that would have stopped him from injuring another player. If you make a mistake that injures somebody when driving a car, bus, a train, walking down the road or whatever, the law holds you responsible and you are severly punished. In English football, the media debate whether you meant it, your manager says how nice you are and thinks that becase you went home to your mum, everything is ok.
The BBC, Sky and daily newspapers are responsible for this. They perpertrate the myth that Arsenal are soft, can't take the rough stuff and that it's all a good laugh to get stuck in. The officials have been influenced by this filth and allow opposition players to get away with late, dangerous tackles.
Enough is enough. I will not be shocked if Wenger walks at the end of the season. Trophy or not, I think he has had enough of the sick culture that surrounds English top-flight football. The culture that values physicality and brute force over talent and intellect.
This is going to be a run-in that I am looking forward to. Bring it on and let's go Arsenal. Ramsey is out, we are not. We are The Arsenal and we are one scary team when we get going.
He said something like "We like the English game and the physical side to it. We accept it, we're guilty of it ourselves sometimes but that's now 3 times in 5 years. Its not right!"
