RIP Princess Ragnhild, Mrs. Lorentzen
Princess Ragnhild, Mrs. Lorentzen (Ragnhild Alexandra; 9 June 1930 – 16 September 2012), née Her Royal Highness Princess Ragnhild of Norway, was the eldest daughter of King Olav V of Norway and Princess Märtha of Sweden, and by birth a Princess of Norway and a member of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. She was the older sister of King Harald V of Norway and Princess Astrid of Norway. She was married to industrialist Erling Lorentzen, of the Lorentzen family, and was known following her marriage as Princess Ragnhild, Mrs. Lorentzen. The princess and her husband settled in Brazil shortly after their wedding in 1953, where her husband founded Aracruz Celulose. Before the birth of her younger brother, she was assumed to become Queen of Norway in the absence of a male heir, although this would have required a constitutional amendment, as women could not inherit the throne at the time.
She was the great-granddaughter of Edward VII of the United Kingdom, and thus a second cousin to Queen Elizabeth II. At the time of her death she was no. 75 in the line of succession to the British throne. Princess Ragnhild's maternal aunt was Queen Astrid of Belgium, which also made Princess Ragnhild a first cousin of Baudouin of Belgium and his brother (and successor) Albert II of Belgium.
Several ships, including MS Prinsesse Ragnhild, were named for her.
She died at her home in Rio de Janeiro on 16 September 2012 following a long illness, aged 82.

Brian Woolnough RIP
I wondered why he wasn't presenting 'The Sunday Supplement' recently, he's just died of cancer, aged 63. I thought he was a decent presenter of that programme, bit of a Chelsea fan but one of the better journo's I think.
Then I found out that Danny Fulbrook, another journo that used to be on Sunday Supplement died 3 months ago aged 40, from cancer......it's such a shitty disease, about time they came up with a cure for it.

R.I.P Brian Woolnough - sports journalist.

RIP Brian
Always felt he gave Arsenal a fair shout on Sunday Supplement and was a decent presenter (in a different league to Jimmy Hill). Tough time to be a Chief Football reporter at the moment after losing Danny Fullbrook recently as well

Re: Brian Woolnough RIP
The money that being known as "the company that cured cancer" still offers massive profit incentive for these companies to pursue permanent cures; the competition to make a "better" drug than the rivals also pushes companies towards longer-lasting solutions. Not to mention Universities and individuals who are trying to make a name for themselves by coming up with leading research in the fight. Plenty of reason to believe that cures are possible for any list of ailments, even if the "symptom relief" is profitable for big pharma right now.Rosie_titters wrote:TeeCee wrote:I wondered why he wasn't presenting 'The Sunday Supplement' recently, he's just died of cancer, aged 63. Sorry for thread hijack. I'm not personally familiar with Woolnough but it's sad to see an individual losing his life at a relatively young age, especially when he's part of the wider football family. RIP.

Never particularly liked him but R.I.P. all the same
Re: Brian Woolnough RIP
Just to echo the other comments (apart from flash of course
) I liked wooly and found him to be very fair
He was excellent at chairing Sunday Supplement and the guy doing it now isn't as good but was quite good when he was one of the 3 other journo's last season
RIP Brian

RIP Brian
Re: Brian Woolnough RIP
Agree with Flash.Couldnt stand the guy personally. But i feel the same about all football journalists especially the tabloid ones. They are in the same bracket as traffic wardens and stewards at football grounds
