Aaron Ramsey - statistics and form etc.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I can't see our future with Ramsey in it. He's painfully average. TBF though what is our future? We aren;t exactly a young side anymore.

Think you are looking at Ramsey through rose tinted glasses.... He is so not average, and think you are being insulting to those that are!!

Why not? We still pay most of Bendtner and Denilson's wages (apparently) which isn't a huge surprise.
I don't mean send him out on loan. I mean actually pay someone a transfer fee to take him off our hands - permanently! Or maybe pay up the remainder of his contract and then make him a free agent...

Park is a strange one.... Someone, somewhere, must have seen something about the guy to bring him in. And yet he has only one Premier League substitute appearance to his name in almost a year
I know mate, I was just pointing out that although your suggestion is probably tongue-in-cheek we actually pay some players to play for other clubs (effectively).

Park is possibly the worst player I've seen in an Arsenal shirt. I've thought about this fairly hard, I'm not sure I've seen a worse player under Wenger.

He's not as bad a signing as Gervinho though, simply because Park we wrote off the transfer fee and recouped what wages we could (somebody belatedly saw sense), whereas Gervinho is regularly given the opportunity to hamper us on the pitch which he grabs with both hands and a 10-yard first touch.

Apparently Ramsey has signed a new bumper contract today. What kind of message does this send to the rest of the team? What is this contract based of? Who green-lit this?

I am not going to link to the shitty Arseblog, but they are saying Jack and Ramsey are getting new contracts. It's an exclusive on their site.

It is absurd that Ramsey gets a new contract. Unless it is one designed to raise his value before a sale?

He's still got a while left on his current one I think Quartz. All it will do will be to price him out of a move elsewhere unless he's willing to take a significant wage cut.

It sums Wenger up - another shit player (Ramsey) getting yet another improved contract for doing absolutely fuck all. AKB's have the audacity to claim Wenger doesn't have any money to spend but in fact he spunks more money on wages for shit players than David Moyes spends ON players! :banghead: :banghead:
