which striker (left back and backup goalie) should we buy?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Presumably those who.want us to.sign a DM would play JW or Santi as a forward.
Which one and where are people's preferences? I'm disappointed it hasn't been tried tbh.
Arteta may have had a form blip but, for me, he's undroppable.
Our real capatain.

Completes 100 passes a game, would be nuts to drop him

Stats are misleading you can't rely on them alone. As i said not a single person in our squad is undroppable and not sure their should be anyone undroppable either

Arteta's job is to be available and relay the ball
he does it better than almost anyone in Europe, would be unadulterated madness to drop him

Pass completion % in an individual game could be deceptive,
Completing more passes than anybody else in a league is a pretty good metric

Denilson' pass completion rate was excellent too should he have been dropped? Nobody is undroppable

Denilsons a brilliant example, he was actually very statistically measurable
his stats were good when he was good, that famed good pass completion period Denilson was actually good
we were top of the league. We went shite, his stats did too.

But for all Den's good pass completion stats
I don't think he was ever completing more passes than virtually anyone else in Europe

Denilson's stats were as good as anyones in europe at that time but anyone with eyes could see he wasnt good enough. Now Arteta is good but definately not undroppable that my opinion so it must be true

when Denilsons pass completion % stats were awesome, we were top of the league
HE WAS GOOD, briefly,
then he went bad, so did his stats.

I don't think he was ever near the total number of passes per game stats that Tets is smashing
THAT is the metric I referred to.

the nobody is undroppable concept I can been drawn to, in principal
but in our squad, the way we play, Tets is undroppable

Denilson had a flurry of decentness - be available, give it quick to Fabregas
think I remember a CL game were Cesc gets a hat-trick of assists
everyone went crazy about it (obv would help if I knew opposition)
every time Cesc got the ball, it was a one touch pass from Den into his path

When he was good, Denilson was unobtrusively good,
Obv I accept when he went bad, he was a neon (non-trackingback) flashing light of shiteness
