As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Definitely a row at the end. Sagna being dragged away from Vermaelen. Vermaelen shouting “Let it go, let it go” at him.

From the outside looking in it has looked like an unhappy squad of late - when the chips have been down there has been no real show of unity or togetherness and in a team devoid of real leaders that is always a possibility. I would like to know a genuine report of what the spat was over just to see if it is indicative of deeper rooted problems but we will probably be fed some sort of bullshit from wenger
On a personal level I really don't want to see or hear sagna involved in anything like this cos I am still praying to god that he will sign a new deal with us

Front four showed movement and variety.
Defence still nervy. Arteta needs a game off, looked tired at the end.
Except he can't rest him because we haven't got anyone else to play that role. I know you like Coquelin mate, but as a sole DM in the team not sure he's up to the task. Of course if we'd reinvested some of the 15m we got for Mong we wouldn't have to play Arteta every week

Only way we will find out is to give Coquelin 90 minutes in the role and see how he does, I think he has what it takes.
I think it essential to rest Arteta now; he looks close to that infamous fatigue "red zone?"

or OX or Jenkinson - all you need is someone with stamina who can tackle and block, and play the ball forwards.
if scott parker and that pykey muppet barton can do it, those three can.
it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to play theo there - it just might teach him about anticipation, positioning and tracking back. it might.

We have Coquelin, Yennaris and (on loan) Frimpong who play there, let's use one of them now.
Theo is a good tackler, and tracks back a fair bit.
He should track back more than he does, but is not lazy; I think when he fails to track back it is out of not knowing whether he should or not.
An organisational problem caused by both coaching and an individual's lack of experience.
