Did they bollocks
If you put the ball between those 2 white posts more than the other team you deserve to win
Anything else is excuse mongering bollocks and we have had enough of that

Which is fine and well but you will be the one that comes out spouting bollocks defending the team when we play well but fail to win

Absolute crap

you can outplay the opposition for 90 mins, hit bar / post / keeper has a blinder and still concede a freak goal or a shit refereeing decision to lose. - As has happened to us on many an occasion.

Our problem is we have far too many weak / fragile players who can only play when its all going well.

Think they may now be thinking that Ozil can create something on his own, so the rest don't need to try as hard.

With Sanchez out we lack the person who can turn a match ala Wright, Henry, Van Persie and conjour something up a goal from nothing Giroud relies on decent service, which if it aint happening negates his best attributes - the near post run and his heading

Honestly, where do you get these people from

It's like the stupid person's go-to line of choice. Things aren't going perfectly, blame the striker.

Giroud's probably been our 3rd best player this season after Ozil and Cech.
More than decent - by what benchmark? By the benchmark of an average PL striker if you're being generous. Not by the sort of striker that leads teams to PL titles - Henry, Bergkamp, Drogba, Ronaldo, Rooney, van Persie, Aguero etc.

Is he good enough to be our lead striker in our system? No. Has he ever been? No. It's a fucking travesty that three and a half years down the line we are still plodding along with him up front.

He's not up to the mark and no amount of your posturing or WUMming will change that. If we had Aguero instead of him we'd coast this league.
By the benchmark of his goals to games ratio, which is comparable with at least 3 of the players on your list. Do your damn research.

Giroud got another assist today, simply put we wouldn't have scored without him. 15 for the season, good stuff Giroud.
So he is performing at the level those players were when they led their team to titles? Don't be so ridiculous.
And I don't think anybody suggested that we struggled so much today because of Giroud. He was no certainly no worse than Walcott, Chamberlain, Monreal, Bellerin, Koscielny, Flamini and probably Ramsey.

The issue is that unfortunately he is the focal point of our attack and it was yet another piss-poor performance from him. Especialy in a 4-5-1 system, the striker is the most important player in the side - look how many points van Persie single-handedly won us in 2011/12 or how Suarez nearly single-handedly propelled a shite Liverpool side to the title in 2013/14. If we could get the most benefit from replacing any one player it would definitely be him. We can cope with average players in other positions but not as lone striker.
Truth is at the moment we need Giroud upfront, until we can upgrade

Winning the game and deserving it can be separated.

absolutely what a load of shite, how many games you seen when team is playing great football all over another side
Goalkeeper playing like superman, then in last minute they break away and score from there only chance

If we are dependent on his contribution to win a league, then we will never fcuking win it  The guy is just another example of the effects of the sky era........all lovely soundbites and hyped up to the hilt, but the reality when you examine it properly, is that all the hype in the world cannot mask average quality

Think the last word on this game should come from Wenger, and for once i agree with his quote to the media

"One thing we could not afford today was to be 1-0 down because we were not good enough to score two goals. That was very important for us; it was vital to stay at 0-0 and hope that we get a goal from somewhere."

Agreed that he is (generally) our best option up there right now.

But we can upgrade. It's January, doesn't matter one iota whether anybody is cup-tied in Europe as we are as good as out already. Clubs are always reticent to sell star strikers anyway so the January premium is not really a huge factor here (unless somebody happens to be in a title race) - you're going to pay top dollar in the summer anyway if you want the calibre of striker we need. Why wait til the summer to splash out when signing the same player now could win us a title?

Yes Gibbs career as an arsenal substitute 709 minutes team scored 15 goals a goal every 47 mins conceded 5 goals a goal every 142 minutes
Happy days chances are we won't concede in 9 mins in fact more likely to score
The kind of attitude we need running thru the whole club
The nerves should be with the opposition
