I love to know what, if anything, AW tells our players they should be doing when we get to the edge of the opposition's area.

Crossing doesn't seem to be the plan, although we occasionally give it a go, shooting appears to be discouraged and quick movement is clearly prohibited.

Like in basketball, the best teams move players in and out of the box to move defenders and create space. We mainly stand around and hope that something will happen.

I was wondering why they were booing Monreal, thought it might be mistaken identity. In fact Monreal looks more like Crouch so maybe they thought it was Crouch who had left them. Their fans are vile, the song about Ramsey walking with a limp crosses every line of decency.
On the game itself it was similar to Anfield without the goals. casual passing and blind running cost us possession and invited unnecessary pressure. Agree with posters who are calling for Theo to be dropped. Minimum contribution from him today and at Anfield, playing on the left doesn't suit him but Campbell deserves to keep his place ahead of him . If City put four or fives wins together they will win the league.

Get real. Even Madrid wouldn't fire a manager sitting top of the league and still in Europe. Despite his weaknesses, Wenger is still one of the top 10-20 managers in Europe. Sacking him is hardly a priority, we just need to keep adding top quality talent to the squad which we have been doing the past few seasons.
Trouble is do you trust Wenger to provide these Top Quality additions ?

Cech was AWESOME - Monreal our best defender

Campbelll a bit headless chicken but tracked back every time to help Bellerin and the mid-field - Good job because Flamini was invisible....Iwobi looks useful and deserves a shot instead of walcott & the ox....I hope bfg is gone at the end of this season....we need someone competent to partner Kos.

Ref was appalling - and deserves to be reprimanded for for controlling the amount of fouls in the game....but the powers that be will simply see a report with No Yellows or Sending off's - shawcross is a lowlife specimen and may his legs be broken.

Agreed, How there was no yellow cards in that game was a disgrace

A hard won point, at a place where most other teams have left pointless.
We didn't play well but showed great character to draw the game.

Without Ozil, Sanchez, Carzola, Coq and Wilshire. Practically our first choice midfield out.
The likes of Flamini, Campbell and the Ox have done well.

We're top of the league, and have some of our top players back for Chelsea after a week's rest.

But of course, let's all moan and bitch as usual........;))
Sorry mate Flamini and Ox did not do well, can also add Wally to that one as well

If we are to win the title we needed to win at places like this.....Champions would do that

Cech proved what a dickhead of a manager Wenger really is.Cech has proved what a difference a world class keeper makes.Just a pity Clueless played a bunch of clowns since Lehmann left 8 years again

Walcott and the Ox have to be the most overated players in the country. But they are loved by the English media

Maybe if ur on over 100k a week you should have some idea wat to do when ur in around d box.Can blame Wenger for a lot but some of these guys have to stand up too.Anyhow, think we'll be there or thereabouts at d end, likely to b WBA and Shampton results that haunt us than this weeks.

Fair play to Cech, he was brilliant today and has earned us a point there, and I also think Monreal had another cracking game at left back. He really has been Mr Consistent this season.

What I think has been noticeable in the last 20 mins at both Anfield and again today, is that we've looked knackered. In both games at the start of the second half we've been in the ascendancy and looking to wrap the match up, but when we haven't been able to do that we've been left wobbling at the end. There are some players there who need a break but the squad depth doesn't allow for it - Flamini being a case in point. Mertesacker also gave his best performance in this fixture I thought.

Worrying thing is that some of these fans have their kids with them, can you believe it ??

We needed 4 points out of 6 from those 2 away games. The Liverpool match really was were we could get 3. 2 out of 6 is better than we normally get from those two places. Being top is still top. I guess given out recent history of blowing 7 point leads only being one point might keep the performances ticking over, and they players not getting complacent like they have done in the past.

With Sanchez and Ozil back next week, our two best players, we can kick on from there. With 51 points to play for we will hopefully drop only 12 points from here.

Thats it mate, whatever happened to a player taking on and beating another player, or get round behind them
all this passing sideways shit in front of there box is unproductive, unless you have Ozil who can pass through the eye of a needle

Agreed we looked fucked. Campbell in particular was obviously knackered and out on his feet, as was Giroud.

Decent point that would have undoubtedly been a much better result had we not chucked away 2 points at Anfield.

What hasn't been mentioned (as far as I can see anyway) is that, when we were on top in the second half, giroud kept fcuking out to the wings instead of giving us an option/target in their penalty area - I'm not suggesting that he was trying to hide from their two dirty centre backs (as if  ), but the man has to know what his job is and stay in the fcuking middle :banghead:
