Fuck him and the horse he rode in on.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I am really troubled by the news that the decision about his future will be taken at the end of the season. Sounds to me like a contract has or will be signed regardless and the easiest time to announce it will be when there can be no comeback.
Something stinks worse than normal about all this. It says a lot about how the club is these days that they are prepared to let this disharmony and as Henry Winter put it "blind folded stroll into the abyss" continue without confirming one way or another what is going on. It is clearly affecting the players but still they don't act.

In 6 games (4 of them on our own pitch) we have scored a pitiful 3 times and conceded 19

I don't think the Walrus of Love is ready to gather dust on the shelf just yet mate, and I wouldn't consign the scented candles to the back of the cabinet either. Shit for Brains ability to keep delivering the lovely lolly for old Wiggy remains strong as ever, and despite us being utter gash for the entire season we're still 4th and within a hair's breadth of second. City and the Mickeys are still as flaky as us, whilst Poch will do his usual post Easter burn out of the mini squad that the Spuds have. Top 4 still very much in the sightsrodders999 wrote:SteveO 35 wrote:As the latest Groundhog season takes its predictable Chumps Lge last 16 turn, we all know what comes next.
1. We show our great mental strength and character to brush aside mighty Sutton and get a nice comfortable draw to keep Wembley dreams alive again
2. We get a caning at Anfield
3. We get our moral 2nd leg victory against Bayern reserves
4. We finish 4th and win the FA Cup
5. He signs for 2 more years
With all the big boys left in the cup there's fuck all chance of us getting near the final of that. As for top 4, this is the year the Barry White LP stays on the shelf I'm afraid. I predict a full scale collapse now but the good news is it's finally all over. He's gone in May.
As for the cup, I think at least one of the big boys will fall this round and unlike us most of them have tricky enough games that if they play their stiffs (which they will) they could easily slip up. Huddersfield can roll over City reserves and Wolves, Fulham and Blackburn could all do the same to Chavski, the scummers and the Mancs. Anyway, that lot could draw each other if they do make it through, whilst its Burnley or Lincoln at home for us and we'll scrape our way back to the final where we will put Middlesbrough to the sword.......and There's Only One Arsene Wenger will ring out round Wembley and the next day we wake up to the wonderful news that he stays till 2019

The biggest ringholings were when we had won the group aswellClash wrote:Even though I knew the record was bad ... seeing it listed out like has still shocked merodders999 wrote: 2012 - Milan 4-0

The most awful thing about this whole situation is that I cannot bear watching us lose, its in our DNA but if we win his position gets strengthened.... I want us to win the FA cup but if we do he'll stay. He has divided the club, the fans, actually caused infighting...THAT is his legacy.

I despise him for this reason.I don't enjoy wins like I should and defeats/shitty draws don't sting like they used to either..the only thing that gets me excited is the thought of him getting to fuckxisstential wrote:The most awful thing about this whole situation is that I cannot bear watching us lose, its in our DNA but if we win his position gets strengthened.... Good stuff from Kahn. I remember Ballack a couple of years ago saying that Ozil is a 'king pin' that you build the team around. i think they are both basically baffled that a clearly gifted player is reduced to........this.Ed Hunter The Gooner wrote:Ollie Kahn has also a word to say about our yesterdays performance...

Amazing! We have a new manager to look forward to! Well maybe.
If we are in the bottom half after his first six matches, get him the fuck out!

Have yet to see / read any apology from all the Wenker loving press / media who told all and sundry how wrong the push to get him out was.
I believe the original Thanks for the Memories Out banner was over 5 years ago !

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
He's done. This "end of the season" shit is to allow the club to do its business behind closed doors. He knows he's done and I wonder whether he's been told recently that it's over. The contract on the table line is a PR exercise to save him face. The line will be that it was offered but he chose to retire, it was his choice and not a refusal to renew on the club's part. Too many people are all too aware now that we will never compete with the top teams under Wanker. If there is a massive collapse over-the-counter next few weeks, an announcement might well be made earlier but it can't go on like this.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
It's a big concern over who they replace him with. This worries me a lot because I remember when George Graham was replaced by Bruce Rioch and hope our useless bunch of twats don't make a similar appointment when Wenger finally goes.
What we all want is to see the club moving forward and being able to compete with the elite not only in Europe but in our own league. We are unable to do this with the current manager.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
In a conversation today i was asked would i like to win the league this year and send wenger out on a high.
In all honesty if we won the league this year i'd still be MEH about it....thats so wrong, but that fact that old fraud would be there kills it for me!
I need help!!

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
They're live streaming his entire Friday press conference from 9am on Pravda.
They never do that, why now? Is something big going to be announced.
Sleep tight folks, tomorrow could be a great fucking day

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
According to Lord Haw Haw (John Cross):
We could have bought Mustafi for £10m when he was at Sampdoria (but waited two years to spend the extra £25m; more economic genius from the Dear Leader)
Wenger didn't want to "kill" Coquelin by signing Kante (far better to weaken the team to appease one of his vanity project players)
The players were playing the blame game in the dressing room (at least they were playing something last night)
Some players were amazed that Ozil wasn't substituted (probably because Wenger didn't realise he was on the pitch)
Senior players think the Wenger contract situation is a distraction (but Wenger said last summer that it wouldn't be a distraction)
Wenger's close circle believe it will be his last season (I'll believe that when I see it)
Senior pros think there is little tactical preparation for big games (well duh)
The atmosphere is too cosy at the training ground (well Myles Palmer has been calling it "the Colney Creche" for about 10 years)
Wenger is too scared to do the necessary confrontation that senior pros think is necessary (you think?)
