Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The papers are full of the "Wenger must go" headlines this morning with only Keown calling for caution. Calling Wenger his "football father"......another one of Wenger's failings, not his strengths, in my mind....and that the "board needs to decide if he can still continue to take the club forward"..... STILL, what is he on about, we have been treading water for 10 years. Keown is one of the worst, if not THE worst, of the loyalists.

If he has any dignity left he must go.....to think he could still be here next season is unthinkable

When you are being paid a kings ransom even you would not contemplate resignation...
Europe every season has guaranteed his tenure, other clubs would bite their hands off to have this model of consistency...
The Rewengers of the status quo do have a point in terms of regular European cash injections to a club that is still paying for a stadium...
The Wexiteers want him out at any cost!
I suggest we start looking for a replacement, but someone who will guarantee us Europe each and every season, because if we falter then budgets will have to be reset, and I ain't going back to the fucking 80's where it was so pisspoor!
Name that manager who will get us to where we want to go!

He's my footballing father
Hey Martin, do you remember when you were doing your coaching badges at the club in 2006 and your work with the defence saw us go all the way to the champions league final without conceding a goal in about 10 hours?
And do you remember all the praise that came your way for how solid and well drilled we looked at the back? Well daddy didn't like that did he Martin? Oh no daddy doesn't like anyone else getting the plaudits but him.
So what did daddy dearest do then Martin? He fucked you out of the club didn't he? You should be bitter, you should be upset but you're not. Why? Because you've got daddy issues haven't you Martin? You still want daddy to tuck you in at night and tell you that you're a very good boy.
Well guess what Martin, father doesn't give a flying fuck about you no matter how much you suck up to him. And you know why Martin???
Because daddy's a caaaaaaaaaaant!

The only club that is owned by a billionaire who takes money out, as opposed to putting it in. And it's insulting & embarrassing to think you want us to get into Europe just so we can get money for said billionaire. Nobody seems to care that , not only is it a competition we cannot win, but we have to bear the ignominy of being shamed and humiliated EVERY year. The money we make from it, does not get spent to ensure we are competitive in it but rather, to just be good enough to keep getting back in it.I don't care if we give it a miss for a couple of years....concentrate on the PL. In fact 7th would be a nice place to finish..no European distractions at all.Allgunsblazin wrote:When you are being paid a kings ransom even you would not contemplate resignation...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
No change of manager can guarantee you anything but it's high time we at least tried as a club because we as fans deserve better in terms of preparation and discipline at this club. If we get that and still don't do any better than top 4 I think fans could accept it a lot easier. If we consistently saw our teams look more prepared and giving 100%.Allgunsblazin wrote:When you are being paid a kings ransom even you would not contemplate resignation...

Arsene Wenger is an old man now and regardless of your views on him, his time has to come to an end and that time has to be now. Whoever comes in is on a hiding to nothing because he will not have Sanchez and quite possibly a few others will go too. There will be a rebuilding process which may see us outside the top 4 but you know what bring it on!
I'd love for a couple of seasons to be able to sit back and think - I can see what's building here

Sanchez flew to Venice yesterday for a "break" but is expected back in training today...Pictures in today's Independent.. His travelling companion was wearing an Arsenal tracksuit bottom..
So understand this, Arsenal arrived back in England probably in the early hours of Thursday morning, the club let Sanchez fly to Venice for a 24 hour break with their blessing within hours of landing from Munich.
The report said Sanchez looked tired, the pictures confirmed that. Seriously is someone at Arsenal stupid... Training today..Arsene; "how was your trip to Italy Alexis?" Sanchez; " great I feel really relaxed and refreshed after three flights in 24 hours " Arsene ; " did you meet anyone nice?" Sanchez" " yes the Juventus directors, I have signed an agreement with them you stupid c##t "

As hard as it seems we've got to face up to Alexis leaving this summer - we should get a pile for him but no doubt it will be nowhere near his true value. We've become used to paying well over the odds for the mediocre whilst selling for peanuts, highlighted in The Times this morning - past 6 transfer windows - spent £200m whilst making £30m from selling 8 players. Gnabry sold for £4.4m now scored 7 in 19 for Bremen.Bradywasking wrote:Sanchez flew to Venice yesterday for a "break" but is expected back in training today...Pictures in today's Independent.. He is so gone it's not even debatable. When he started asking for £300k it was his way of politely saying he was leaving without it being his decision. He has had offers lined up since last summer in my opinion. I can see him at Juventus on the left had side of their front 3 of Higuain and Dybala. The last year of his deal is a big plus for his interest from other clubs. For Ozil, the reality is hitting home that his stock is so low in Europe, he might have to take a step down unlike Alexis, in terms of guaranteed football vs club size and trophies.Bradywasking wrote:Sanchez flew to Venice yesterday for a "break" but is expected back in training today...Pictures in today's Independent.. If Bayern really ever wanted him, he would have gone after Real or before Real. He was originally bought for about £12m by Real as a back up to Kaka, who was constantly injured and didn't work hard enough when out of possession for Mourinho's liking. No surprise they went on to win the champions league when Ozil left. he cleaned up on assists to all the La liga bottom clubs with Ronaldo getting hat tricks every other week.
Bayern simply don't rate him highly enough. He will end up maybe at a big club on the same deal he gets at Arsenal now, as a squad player. Easier life. PSG will use him for their Ligue 1 dross and bring him on in big games if they need to create a goal.
But they are both leaving for sure in my opinion. Probably a factor Wenger will consider if he leaves too.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
From being incredible in the transfer window for the first 10 years, Wenger has gone to incredible bad, like so bad at buying players. I shuddered when chants of spend some fucking money went round, I knew he'd spunk it away foolishly. Apparently him and Gazidis bought a moneyball statistics company for £4m in 2012 after they had recommended 'good' value buys based on stats. They had come up with Gabriel I know that, through this system.Thierry 3-8-99 wrote:As hard as it seems we've got to face up to Alexis leaving this summer - we should get a pile for him but no doubt it will be nowhere near his true value. Thanks! Yes Wenger going would be a huge start for sure!rodders999 wrote:I know where you're coming from but there's never been discourse like this, it started after the Watford defeat, was ramped up after the surrender at Chelsea and is a runaway train after tonight. Wenger staying on from here would actually be his "greatest ever achievement", there's absolutely no way back now. He's done. The players have all given up on him, we're struggling through every game no matter the opposition - lost to Watford, 97th minute winner against Burnley, limped past Hull - and all those games were at home. We'll be picked off by all the "big boys" from here on in - no chance of top 4 this season and with all the top 6 still in the cup then we're done with that the very second we get drawn against them.
IT'S OVER......HE'S GOOSE IS COOKED - AU REVOIR
Watch him get the run of results that brings the media back on side.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Did anyone watch that embarrassing Arsenal TV muppet shout and swear and aim his frustration at Wenger...
According to that thick crunt he has been watching the demise over the last few months, obviously a JCL coz this has been going on for years, a decade would be precise!...
