Let me start this by again saying that I don't give two fcuks if the senile olc c.unt signs anyone or not, but his transfer thinking is again showing how flawed it really is -

Football, like any business (kills me to call it a business), works on the basis of supply and demand - we have a serious need/demand for centre backs, and every potential selling club knows it. Naturally they, if they have any business acumen, will immediately increase their asking price as soon as we come knocking on their door - goes without saying that le cock hates spending money but he has two choices here.........pay the asking price or step off the transfer merry go round cos it really is that simple. When I read that negotiations with Valencia are ongoing, it both amuses me and angers me - Valencia should tell them to either stump up the cash or go with chambers and holding as your centre backs for the first few games, because the power in all this is with Valencia. Of course it is wenkers fault for dilly fcuking dallying until just before season starts as per usual, but that is par for the course with that inept c.unt

Btw isn't it ridiculous that we or any other club, can contemplate buying a player within days of the league kicking off ? How are they realistically be expected to bed in with their new team-mates and get used to a new system ? I have long since argued that the transfer window should automatically close at 12 midnight the night before the seasons kick off - I know that wont prevent this bullshit of signing a new player the week the season kicks off (which I expect us to do), but at least it would force him to get his shit together in time for the start of the season and prevent another mad trolley dash after our league campaign is put in tatters after just 3 or 4 games

What does me is our "haggling" is usually over a few million quid....which to us is nothing really. Sure, I get not wanting to be held to ransom, but surely paying an extra few million to prevent a cluster fuck of a start of season pays for itself. If the possible extra points earnt help us finish higher up the table...or God forbid actually win the league..then surely you get the money back in prize money.

So what is the VERY good news then? Danny back by the end of the month and raring to go? No, apparently the VERY good news is that he's out for five months.

I'm not quite sure then what they might classify as BAD news on the website.

Team news is worth a read, if you are a fan of, say, obituary columns. It's about as cheerful.

Now the good news for me is that I have to pay my credit card bill for our summer holiday to the Caribbean, and I haven't got the money.
