Guys that is absolutely fantastic- Love the security guy standing there unsure what to do

Ignore that maniac Steve_I definite WUM, second time hes interrupted this thread, maybe the mods can move his next posting to the Wenger thread

Re: Wenger Out protests
I'll confirm if I can make the protests this Sunday but I've thrown my weight behind the crowd fund once again this morning.
I like the idea of the A4 sheets inside the stadium but how many have the appetite for a CAT A game? Anything before the Sunderland game would be good timing too.

Forget that, we're way past that now, anyway our games fall into 3 categories these days......Poor - Piss Poor and Dreadful. It's matters not who the opposition is, he's not getting a week off. I agree that it's time to re-test the water in the bowl. A3 or A4 sheets being held up would make a big impact if there's enough of them and we'll be able to gauge anti Wenger support by the number given out and the number held up. I still don't expect much support from the cult members, but we have to try it and see. We might be pleasantly surprised.
I don't imagine that we'll be able to either afford, or hand out 60,000 of course, but if we have, say 5,000, then I'd concentrate them all on one section, most probably the north bank. 5,000 en masse, would look much better than 5,000 spread all over the gaff.
As someone else suggested, the less overtly personal the message, the more chance of getting them held up, so I'd go for "No New Contract", as opposed to "Wenger Out". It won't lose any impact, as the message is clear and it's a mass of negative cards that makes the impact.
It could get a bit tasty handing them out, so I'd suggest groups of ten or so. I'm going in Herd's group !!

Saw on Twitter that the illuminations obviously had an effect on the players and lead to the defeat on Sunday.....worst part of that was the tool wasn't joking...

Re: Wenger Out protests
Just one thing to add about the A4 sheets, I think whereas before when it was tried you had only 500 people holding them up in a near capacity crowd, the fact there are likely to be a lot of empty seats at upcoming games it will add to the visual impact even if there are only a small number of people doing it.
I would also go for 'NO NEW CONTRACT' as opposed to 'WENGER OUT', this might be more acceptable for those opposed to directly criticising his name, i know it's a small distinction but we all know some people wont abuse his name

Re: Wenger Out protests
Still makes me smile seeing those projections. I am espeically impressed with how they managed to adapt them to fit what they were beaming them onto. If it ever gets done again somewhere like Battersea Power Station might work well as it is seen from miles around and from thousands of commuters.
With regard to the A4 sheets - my one reservation is all it needs to spoil their effectiveness are a few idiots holding up their own sheets with messages supporting Wenger.
I know damn well that the Sky cameras would give equal close-up coverage to both sides and then all of a sudden the wider shots would leave viewers in doubt as to what is actually written on the sheets and who is in the majority.
Still worth a try maybe so I am not trying to be negative. I am of course, more than happy to leave the decisions up to the guys who have done a magnificent job so far with the protests

If that's the case mate! Then they should not be wearing the shirt, away hard core support risked life or limb going to that shit hole...
Lily livered....
