The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

100% behind the idea of replacing Pete the Plank but not at all sure about Hart. Think he'll be even more dodgy behind our patched up ragbag back four. Mind you we could play Courtois and De Gea in goal at the same time and still look incapable of keeping a clean sheet
Cech and Hart kept the most clean sheets last season.
And both their teams finished in the top 4 so that hardly proves a lot does it?

Do you think they would have kept the most clean sheets playing for Villa and Newcastle ?
If that's your argument if we had brad Guzan or John ruddy in goal would we get relegated?

Yes, both their teams finished in the top 4 ... surely that proves a point.
Yeah it proves their teams and squads were better than every other team in the PL.

If Newcastle had Hart and Cech was at Villa, they'd have kept the most clean sheets then ?

Maybe not but neither of them would've been relegated.

I don't rate Hart at all. Not that we'll be in the market for anyone of use, of course

Does anyone think we'll do another trolley-dash now? We seem too lethargic as club even for that.

The club is an absolute shambles.

If, and when, we lose to Leicester next weekend, providing that City, Man Ure and Chavski have 6 points from 6, then I have no doubt that one of either the following will happen:

(a) we will sign a player like Draxler for 50m in a position we least need

(b) we will dash around signing a bagload of shite on the final day from the lesser leagues in Europe

To be fair Xaha was not the signing we needed anyway, but then of course everyone is telling him to sign a CB and striker so he fucking won't do it???

What Henry said today was spot on for once, no one wants to join Arsenal.

He was also letting on he didn't know the reason why when everyone and everything knows it's because of the manager.

Think the title of this thread is now redundant
.it shower the "It's too late for a transfer thread" Souness was spot on when he said the world knows Arsenal's needs and if and when Arsenal go (unlikely) looking for them the price doubles.. It is too late now. Maybe after one game this is an overreaction to some but I already think this season is fucked

Sadly it is not gonna happen - Leicester have had a shocking start after losing to the most disorganised team in the league, and the pressure will really be on them now. Remember we beat Leicester twice last season, plus wenker always seems to get a big result when he needs it most

Which means that his price tag just got higher. Why would Lyon let him go now that the season has already started as they can't replace him? Or if they will the price will be probably north of 45m.

What's the point in trying to sign anyone now? Should we lose to Leicester, that's 6 points dropped in just two weeks. Any signings made after that, are to help in securing another VT. Id rather stick with this incompetent bunch of losers, and let them lead us out of the be all and end all.
