A small consolation is that at the end of the match it appeared that Wenger mouthed something to Glazidis and he appeared to nod his head in acknowledgement. Not a big fan of so called 'body language' but the impression I got (maybe it's more like hoping out of desperation) was that it was something along the lines of 'okay, go and get it done!!' Surely after watching tonight, he has no other option?

Surely a defender in time for the away leg next week. Am I right in thinking that we can add one more player to the squad for the qualifiers? I am hoping we will sign a decent defender before the weekend.

What was actually said:

Wenger: 'another sell-out tonite?'

Ivan: 'yup'

linked today with Lucho Gonzalez who is based in...

France of course

hes a good player but we have no chance of getting him, Marseille dont want to see and are on record as saying they would be very surprised if he left.

Another one bites the dust

Also linked with Yann M'Vila. Would be a quality signing and you never know. Definitely far better than Song is in DM.

All I know is we need to sign someone and QUICK too. Because if we go into the Liverpool game in two days time with the same squad as we had playing last night, we don't stand a chance.

I just don't understand what's taking so long. This summer really must be one of the worst in the club's history.

We all wanted to dead wood offloaded but under the expectation we might get some replacements.

Some of the "dead wood" was actually average squad players like Bendtner who you need when injury crises hit.

Let alone losing the creative heart of your team in Nasri and Fabregas.

It leaves us literally with nothing. The XI which played last night would finish mid table in the premier league.

Why is it taking so long? Someone must know what's going on in the club.

We cannot play a new signing in the second leg...
We can play a new signing 12 hours after the FA ratify it

cheers Sammy basically we have to make a signing tomorrow if we want them to play v Liverpool...

Beeb saying £25M for Nasri. Sounds like a good deal. Surely means we don't have to wait for CL money...?

Yeah because Gervinho at the tender age of 24 was a youngster :barscarf:
