The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I hope you're right, I mean, what would be the fucking point?
We're shit as we are and we'll be shit if we sign anyone. The soppy old cûnt could sign the entire Barcawhores first 11, and still only scrape top 4 and last 16 of the beallandendall.

May as well keep hold of the cash until our new, young and dynamic coach comes in....................
ah fuck it, I can dream can't I.
I agree. However, despite all that, just remember that his dearest disciples are lining up to sing his hymns at the Bowl. Until that actually changes or people stay away like last year, there is a possibility of Wenger extending.

We need more pundits telling Wenger to sign people, so that he won't.

Somebody in the Arsenal scouting department is literally typing "international centre backs playing in Europe that would be open to moving clubs" into Google

Apparently the deal for mustafi is stalled because there is 15million in the difference between the clubs.....and get this

Arsenal might need more money for a striker so reviewing their situation.

So if mustafi is valued at 30 million....apparently there's not much cash after that.........mind boggles as to how that club is run. I have images of ticketing staff emptying their change into ivans hat!

It's just astonishing that we simply cannot do transfer business like other clubs do. It's always a fuck-up with us. :banghead:

What the hell is going on???? First we had the "we cannot compete" vomit from Gazidis, clearly a lie with you look at our massive stockpile of cash and now we have the story that we have to give up on the search for a CB in order to peruse a striker because we can't afford both!

It truly is Bizarro world in at Arsenal these days, sad times indeed

I'd say the club are trying to find excuses, to justify Wenger's bizarre behaviour, It wouldn't surprise me, if Wenger told Gazidis, that he was signing either a ST or CB, and not both.

Sky Sources: Liverpool reject initial bid of £23m rising to £30m from Crystal Palace for Christian Benteke.

Crystal Palace are willing to pay £30 Million for Benteke, and we are haggling over the Mustafi deal. what an embarrassing club, we are.

Ok, I get your point, but the Palace/Benteke example is a step too far. I'd rather burn £30million than pay that for Benteke!!

I wish we knew categorically ( fucking long word!!) how much is available in the transfer kitty. We have been lied to so much and for so long. Then we could set realistic targets.

Ornstein “Price the issue. Arsenal want to hold back funds for possible striker signing. #AFC transfer budget factors in fee, salary, agent commission”

Any other “big clubs” out there holding back funds because of salaries and agent commissions?

Embarrassing.

I'd say it's a good thing we're not a big club then ;)

Jose Fonte? Played well at the Euro's and looks solid enough at Southampton but at 32 years of age it sounds like the panic button has been well and truly pressed in Wanka World.
