Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
Can we get this thread back on track please
Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
Good luck to all going to protest today.
Please post some pictures and updates if possible. We have to keep the momentum going on this, or we are sunk for two of more years.
The bigger, louder, noisier, more vollable, the better. Bells, whistles, chants, placards
Whatever it takes.

Just come out of sainsburys on Liverpool rd and what do I see...the players coach backing in...opportunity to make our feelings known...#WengerOut
Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
We had a decent march today, but the numbers were poor; no more than a couple of hundred at most. We had to delay the start of the march as a result. We sang up very well though and had several banners, although more than a few AKB sheep cunted us off on the way.
We ended up on the roundabout. Lots of photos taken. It doesn't seem that marches are viable for the future. There is so much terminal apathy and fear of change in the support.
It was good to see Chris, Matt, Mark Jumpers, Mark mzk, Neil, Rob DoubleGooner and a few other faces who have turned out for the marches.
WENGER OUT!

That is wretched.
This Clubs fans - or most of them - deserve all the humiliation that the next two or four years will bring. He will sign after the Cup Final, where we will be smashed but that won't change it.
All those who organised the protest deserve enormous credit. They - we - tried. But this cretinous personality cult is unmovable.

I can only assume that most fans really don't care about being a large number of points behind the scum and getting well beat last week.
Even the loud anti-Wengers from Arsenal Fan TV didn't bother turning up, all talk and no action.

Well mate you are either a WUM, sheep, loser or coward if you are coming out with a statement like that.
For the record I'm not trying to insult you here because everyone has a right to their opinion.

Did the march take place??
I assume it was cancelled as I didn't see anyone protesting.
Why the apathy??

It took place with a couple of hundred, instead of the couple of thousand required.
This Clubs future is even bleaker than it's present.

Yea we tried...maybe about 100 of us..I've just got home, a nice 12 hour round trip. I said after the apathy with the "Battle Bus" that we were only going to do things in future that didn't involve trying to get numbers. Then the projections captured everybody's imagination, the humbling at WHL ...so....and I take a lot of the responsibility here, we thought let's keep the pressure on him and organize a huge march before Man.U as our "fans" would be so humiliated and angry after last week, they would turn up in big numbers. Well, all One hundred of us did.LaughingGooner wrote:Did the march take place??

I've said it before AFC fans deserve Arsene Wenger...if he signs that contract I hope the roof falls in on their heads next season.
When we were marching a bloke of about 60 screamed in my face "Give him a chance"

Plus the rest of the abusers......
That's what we're dealing with.....

Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
Keeping the momentum going for any sort of protest is never easy. It gets worse when you consider the type of fanbase which has followed the Arsenal. Invariably we been cursed with a snobbish fanbase. A great many of those snobs will not have anything to do with a protest, as they see that as chav like behaviour. We also have loads of day trippers who do not give a flying fuck. Then there are those that have just gone apathetic to the whole situation surrounding the Club.
TOF and the board have succeeded in cultivating the kinda fanbase they desired. Sure there will always be us, the few disgruntled peasants and lumpens, making a bit of noise, but they know we'll never cause any major upheaval among the ranks.
I still maintain that mortality will be our own lone saviour from the clutch of the narcissistic loony bin.

.
I can remember the spontaneous anger that got Neil the chop back in 83. We used to a fan base that cared. Now, as you say, it's day trippers, tourists and bozos who take selfies with the foot long hot dogs.
It's a zombie fan base with some real believers attached. Passion has been replaced by money. Belief by attendance. Action by apathy. Support by spectating. Commitment by indolence. And the Club by the - current - Manager.
I stopped going seven years ago. And I just don't know when or if. I will ever start going again ? Certainly not whilst Wenger is in situ.
