Tbh Quartz the upsides out do the downsides and are you saying things like that only happen in London?
No...most of the bad things happen in a lot of big cities but from what I have experienced, in New York -
The women are much easier to chat with
The weather is more extreme, but at leas you know you will get a summer
The streets are cleaner
Manhattan is safer (though outlying boroughs can be more violent).
Subway is 24 hours (though infrequent in the small hours)

that just does not make sense
Radford...you started the thread, and gave Arsenal as a reason for London being a great city...which all of us have agreed with you on.
But seeing as you started the thread I feel you owe us all a bit more on why you love London so much?
If you are pushed for time, maybe list ten reasons?
There are some great things here, but paradise it is not!
to be honest Quartz your post and Ds's post puts the case quite clearly. whilst i realise that ther is a bad side to london after all its a city and thats the same the world over and add to that its the capital. i just disagreed with Gus over his post.

London is great!
Arsenal!
Best gig venues (and all bands gig in London)
Good recycling (well, in West London anyway)
People! (Lots of different types of people from all walks)
Food!
Less narrow-mindedness, bigotry (Yes, there is intolerance, but less so than certain other areas of the country)
Parks (Lovely one at the end of my street)
Lords Cricket Ground! Middlesex!
Some cracking pubs!
London Transport (Most of the time.)

Not in Harrow there isn't. I do not have any recycling facilities.

Really? I live on the southern tip of Harrow, and we have Brown bins, Green bins and Blue bins, for different material to be recycled.
Where in Harrow do you live?
