FA CUP V PLYMOUTH THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I agree with the people that said we should go all guns blazing for an f.a cup win... If we dont win the cup it will be 4 years without silverware. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Wenger needs to wake up and smell the coffee and realise We wont win C.L or Premiership.. To those he say we need to gaurentee 4th, Villa wont finish 4th. They are flukes and proved it against us and hull...P.S Arteta would be Mint and its only Nasri money. No disrespect to Samir i think hes class its just that if Arsene can justify £12m for an unproven frenchman he can bite the bullet and spend it for a top notch premiership proven player. Come on you Gooners :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

By Richard Clarke

Lukasz Fabianski will be Arsenal’s FA Cup keeper this season.

The 23-year-old Polish international will be brought into the team for Saturday’s Third Round tie with Plymouth at Emirates Stadium and, according to Arsène Wenger, will remain there throughout his side’s run in the competition this term.

Elsewhere Denilson (back) and Kolo Toure (groin) are missing but, the manager says, his FA Cup side will be full of regular players. By implication, that means it will be stronger than the Carling Cup outfit.

“The Carling Cup is used to develop the young players and the FA Cup is part of the regular squad targets,â€

That will encourage Plymouth to put a few crosses in for Flapianski to flap at. No Denilson, thats a shame, at least we still have Song and Eboue

I predict a convincing 2-1 thrashing of the footballing legend that is Plymouth Argyle!

Bendtner will wear purple boots and Carlos Vela will sit on the bench for 90 minutes.
