Chants for De silva

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Replying to myself. Great!

I'm not going to tinker with the words. I'll let other people do that for me. But allow me to plant this seed in your minds...

Can we manipulate Phil Collins' "Sussudio" to be a song for Eduardo? I'd love to hear it!

Dudu songs

Post by maxpeed »

As you can see,I'm from Croatia, and I've read in our newspapers that one member of this forum made a great song that goes like this:

I would walk 500 miles
and I would walk 500 more
just to be the man who walks a thousand miles to see Eduardo score
dudududu dudududu

It's version of "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)", by Proclaimers!

It sounds absolutely fantastic!
Who is that genious?

P.S. Dudu was heart and soul of Dinamo,I hope he'll show you his magic!

WHO? WHAT? WHERE?

Post by I Hate Hleb »

THAT'S FECKING GREAT - AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE THE WHO!!

JUST ONE PROBLEM - THE START OF THE SECOND SINGING OF THAT CHORUS WOULD OVER-LAP WITH 'SCORE' FROM THE PREVIOUS TIME.

NOT KNOCKING IT. THAT REALLY WOULD SOUND GREAT IF WE COULD SYNCRONISE IT. COR BLIMEY, THE GUY HAS ONLY BEEN WITH US A FEW DAYS AND ALREADY WE HAVE TONS OF SONGS FOR HIM!! LET'S HOPE HE PROVES WORTHY.

i thought about that....

i think repeating the 2 lines a bit then ending it with eduardo's gonna score...

i'd love to hear that at the grove...

"whoooooooooo are you..

DU DU, DU DU....

whooooooooo are you

DU DU, DU DU,
"

then throw in the eduardo bit..

i think if arsenal fans can come up with some good songs...and sing them on the regular...more fans would join in....i think the singing lot should also encourage the shy prawn sandwich brigade to pipe up...its not a night at the ballet ffs

CHANTS WOULD BE A FINE THING!

Post by I Hate Hleb »

I AGREE THAT IF WE CAN GET MORE SONGS TOGETHER, EVERYONE ELSE WOULD BEGIN TO JOIN IN - LIKE SOMETIMES HAPPENS WHEN WE'RE LOSING OR HAVE JUST GOT BACK INTO A GAME.

THE PROBLEM, AS YOU KNOW, IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO START SINGING IN CASE NO-ONE ELSE JOINS IN AND THEY THEN FEEL EMBARRESSED.

NOW I NORMALLY SING, BUT DON'T USUALLY START THE SONGS OFF. HOWEVER, ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MEMORIES IS STARTING A SONG ON THE OLD NORTH BANK IN THE 1980'S, IN WHICH ALMOST EVERYONE ELSE JOINED IN (CAN'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT BUT IT WAS NOTHING ORIGINAL, JUST A STANDARD ARSENAL SONG).

SIMILARLY, ON THE LAST DAY OF THE SEASON 2003/4 WHEN THE FINAL WHISTLE WENT, I STARTED THE 'WE ARE UNBEATABLE' CHANT WHICH, AGAIN, EVERYONE ELSE SANG AS WELL (DIDN'T WANT TO TEMPT FATE BEFORE HAND! ). WHAT A BUZZ!! FUCKING GOOD TIMES, I TELL YOU!!
