So having a preference for a European "soccer" team (who you might actually get to see play your own team) is the same as having a preference for an American football team who only compete with teams within their own nation, in a sport played solely in their own nation (well, at a serious level anyway) ? I remember back when american football became big over here first I actually hated it but I have to say that when you start to watch it and learn the rules it really is a great game and is not just push and shove crap by big padded sissy's like some like to believe

I record 3 or 4 live games every single week of the regular season and it takes me most of the following week to watch them but I love the sport (not as much as football of course) and I miss it big time when the season finishes cos it is so bloody short

I should tell you steve o that the possibility of watching games in the flesh is now very real with the two actual nfl games played so far in wembley with more to follow. There is also the very real possibility, although it is a few years down the line yet, that there will be an actual nfl franchise based in london in the future and I for one would welcome it

Yes, having a preference for a European soccer team is not that different from supporting an NFL team.

I could go to the USA to see that NFL team play, and NFL games are shown on TV here.
I can read about both on the net too.

I did read your comments.

It is just that to be honest SteveO, having read a variety of your comments and threads over the past months, you seem to be on here just to try and spread your brand of aggressive cynicism as far and wide as you can, and contribute little of any positive tone.

GOD I HATE THE STEELERS!!!! I can't stand the franchise as I'm a Cowboys fan and don't want the *word censored* to be the first to 6 super bowl titles. Its a huge game over here and hope the Cardinals DESTROY the steelers!

I think the superbowl is the only good thing in NFL but even this is boring too many adverts and stoppages in play.

Also why do they getoverexcited when they gain some yards

that was very impressive!

although I like underdogs, so I'm a bit gutted for the Cardinals... they were looking good in that 2nd quarter; hope that hasn't knocked the stuffing out of them.
