ROMA THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

wenger is about to see in rossi what a real defensive/centre midfielder actually looks like. He'll see a determination and passion to win that he will wait forever to see in our engine room

Wenger said when the draw was made that this tie was 50-50 and that Roma were the best team in Italy! He was writing the obituary for this game before a ball was kicked.

Agree with Gibbs he may play Diaby in CM as he is fit agian and provides height in the box.

I'd gladly take a 0-0 game that sets us up for Rome just like Milan last season. But really I cannot see that happening. I can see us holding a clean sheet against a team that will attack alot more than Sunderland. Sunderland attacked like 4 times and almost got 2 or 3 goals. I dont see us scoring more than a goal at all with injuries and Arshavin out.

Me thinks a 1-1.

If Diaby is back why not him and Toure CM? With Nasri and Vela providing the width much more solid for a CL game. The back five nowadays picks itself everytime but Djourou can fill in anytime for our CB's.
