How Irish are you?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Both my parents are from Galway, Ireland. Family stretches back 100% Irish as far back as I know.

They moved over here on a working visa in 1989 for a few years, I was born in 1991. In a few months we were back in Ireland again, but then my parents decided to move here permanently. And I've been here ever since...apart from some time in Ireland in 2000.

Oh, and I wasn't given Aussie citizenship by birth either, because my parents were only on a visa and not residents. But I was granted my citizenship in...2007...I think it was 2007. Maybe '08.

Never considered myself anything other than Irish though, but I'm definitely a New South Welshman as well.

So what do I vote? Plastic I suppose. But I'm probably somewhere between 100% and plastic.

Glad to say 0%. If you like Irish pride in a foreign country this is the one for you. I swear to fucking god everyone who has like 1% Irish in them loves to call themselves Irish and celebrate St Patricks day like 4 different weekends in March. It's like cool to be Irish. I dont know why  I suppose its just an excuse to get hammered.
