Glasgow Rangers to feature in the Emirates Cup

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

frankly, i can't see a good outcome to this and suspect it will be the last time a glasgow side visit london for a friendly. call me a pessimist - i hope i am wrong.
Radford sadly agrees

According to the papers up here, Celtic are playing at a tournament at Wembley the week before the EC that includes the ****

To be honest mate, there's never really a great atmosphere at the Emirates cup... it's full of tourists. Enjoy it, get pissed, just don't expect to lift the roof...

This is a really bad idea.

I'm no fan of either old firm club as I cannot stand mindless secterianism based on a history of ignorance and violence, but in my opinion (and, sadly, experience) Rangers fans are by far the worst of the two. And it isn't a minority of them either, like at most clubs - they have a huge amount of sumbag "fans".

Our stewards would be fucked trying to control those morons...

Always preferred Rangers, i remember Celtic coming to Highbury for Olearys testimonial and burning the Union Jack in the clock end and causing havoc outside! Ive always wanted Rangers to win everything up there since then!

Because a handful of morons burnt a Union Jack you've "supported" even worse racist, sectarian mongs ever since? Glad ignorance didn't breed ignorance there then, huh?

Could it really be that much worse than the yearly visit from our occupationally challenged friends up in the metropolis of martyrdom?! At least the Rangers fans will buy tickets...!

And they will join up with there BNP mates from Chelsea.

As has been said earlier the Emirates cup always sells out whoever the opposition so why take a risk with Rangers. Its not worth it
