Leaving aside injuries, how many of our forward players can we really rely on to score 20 goals or even 15? Arshavin should get to the latter figure but even he is more of a creator than a scorer and RVP has never been that heavy a goalscorer. And those are our only two really established forwards who both really want to play in the same position.
We are short of a proper goalscoring centre forward. Maybe Eduardo is the answer, I think Bendtner will be a top centre forward in the future but next year is too soon to be sure. Huntelaar strikes me as exactly the type of player we need, although secondary to the mythical DM.
