ANGRY Thierry Henry
yeah he was alllriiightVince wrote:I dont think we would get to the final without Henry goal at Bernabeu.
And he passes the ball for Campbell for the Arsenal goal in the final.
So he wasn't that bad.
THE MAN WAS THE BEST PLAYER WE HAVE EVER HAD AN A ARSENAL LEGEND

Don't get me wrong, mate. Henry was the best footballer I've ever seen (after DB10 of course). But he choked every final he played in for us. Of course we would not have got to alot of those finals without him, but that doesn't change the fact that he bottled the actual finals themselves.Vince wrote:I dont think we would get to the final without Henry goal at Bernabeu.

Oh and he often struggled to score away from Highbury too...

its so ignorant to say he bottled it because he missed a couple of chances.....i know youve probably only seen dvd's of henry and think he scored every chance he got but there were other games where he missed chances and didnt score are they games he bottled aswell?
i actually 4ort he was brilliant in that final was upfront on his own for 70 minutes and caused em so many problems, his work rate was phenominal
if a player bottles it....they dissapear from the game they dont get involved they dont put themselves in with chance of making a difference because there too afraid to do it
henry was the complete opposite to that he was at the heart of everythin and if we had hung on for a win or he had scored that 2nd he would have been hailed for his performance that night!

Agreed - all this shit about him bottling it started as soon as he was being linked with moves away from AFC. Never heard much mention of it up till then - if he's a bottler of chances, I'd love to meet someone who isn't. Perhaps RVP who has cold sweats if the ball comes on to his right foot, or Bendtner who demonstrated such great technique against Roma at home. Fuck me, TH14 is a legend and certainly no bottle job.hutchy08 wrote:its so ignorant to say he bottled it because he missed a couple of chances.....i know youve probably only seen dvd's of henry and think he scored every chance he got but there were other games where he missed chances and didnt score are they games he bottled aswell?

Was looking at the PL top scorer stats the other day - didn't notice many other players who had won it in 4 out of 5 seasons

TH14 fluffed a few chances that night and why we are saying he bottled that chance that is being discussed is because time and time again in other games he was in same position and scored making it look easy.
he didn't even make that excuse of a keeper work for the save
and of course mad jens was also a factor but because of the timing of titi's miss that will always stick out.
its painful thinking about it

The bloke was playing on one leg, yes he missed a good chance to make it 2-0 but how did it bottle the final?DB10GOONER wrote:
Shame you bottled that CL final and ruined my life though...
He worked is arse off leading the line on his own with us being down to 10 men, being kicked in the air every time he got near the ball.
I hate the way people say players bottled certain occasions because they miss a good chance. You've been listening to Adrian Durham to much mate.
He was one on one with their keeper and he bottled it.
Love the childish Durham jibe.![]()

Grow up.
Are ye serious... If it wasnt for th14 we wouldnt have even got to the final... How can ye say this about an Arse Legend
