PORTSMOUTH THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So that will be a 0-0 then

Probably going to see an all out containment job from Pompey so getting that first goal as early as possible will be crucial, our confidence will be high and theirs is low so i think we will get an early goal and go on to a 4-0 drubbing.

Anyone else think Eddie will start? Seems like this is the kind of game he should be starting if he's fit.

I won't be able to watch this match since I will be moving to a new city and will be on the road.

I have a feeling (Oh! Yesss baby Yesss! :D   ) ...now then where was I...Aah! yes, I have a real sense that the next 4 games (pompey, celtic, man sh*tty and manure) could define not so much the rest of the season, but act as a marker or as proof that if we do well in all of them, to announce that this season Arsenal will NOT capitulate and blow it by allowing a team like pompey to score an early goal and put us on the back foot at home, with the onus being put on us needing to score just to achieve a draw...which has often been the case the past 3 seasons, there are those in the media who still keep pushing the negative slant regarding the 6 - 1 win at everton and the 2 - 0 win at celtic....both games had elements of luck....BUT we still had to win - ei: score goals and not concede any.....which we did extremely well, we closed down the opposition better than I have seen since the unbeatables and it looks to me like all the players have matured and will not be muscled out of a game, or made to feel 'in-experienced' - there's a real feeling of "Oh! Yeah Feck Face You Want Some!??? Bring IT ON!!!"....Cesc, Song, Gallas, Sagna, Clichey, (even Denilson) & Vermaelen all tackled hard and took no shite!...

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
