As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Kenny Hibbit, start striker for wolves. I punched his fat racist son in the face once. You should have seen him bawling his eyes like a girl...hee...hee..
Considering what Kenny does now (review FA referees performance) looks like someone else could do with one
As I worked at Highbury for 3 years I saw loads of the players. I shared a lift with Vieira, shook hands with Ray Parlour, an all time favourite of mine. A bunch of us woke up Overmars new born baby who was sleeping in the pram. I think I saw Ron Atkinson but the gleam coming of the bling and the orange glow could also have been apparition from heaven wandering around the ground.
David O'leary used to hand out the trophies at awards night for my youth team. The year I won player of the year he was under the IRA threat so couldn't hand me my award.
And just last week I saw Gareth Southgate and Gordon McQueen getting out of a cab in Kings Cross on my way home from work.
When Brian Marwood was at Hull in the early 80s I played against him for the Uni team. For those of you who remember that far back they had a No 9 called Billy Whitehurst, huge beast. Marwood kept crossing for the big man to score with headers. Then I tackled Marwood....I can still hear the ironic cheers now!!!
I played at a 5 a side tournament once and there were a heap of the actors from Dream Team doing promo there. We got a match going with them and won! Then I tried to chat up the bird that played the chairman's wife (Linda?) at the bar and got jogged on pretty quickly

That was slightly before my time but I was one of the Coach's on the Soccer Schools.
Often had to introduce the 'stars' Gave a massive round of appluse for......Vince Bartrum!
Also remember the fire to the old training ground
Whilst the other teams got relocated to alternative grounds the youth team trained in the JVC for a week.
The YTS Coaches gave a game against the YTS youth team which we one!
Liam Brady was fuming with his players. I swear that Cashly would have been playing. ...I'm sticking to that!
scored one out of three penalty's against david seaman at merse's charity funday in uxbridge (in a five a side goal)
I know merse, and played for his dad's sunday league team in 96/97.

hahaha, well, those are long stories.... but i can assure you, none of them make you think anderson has a good character. he is a selfish and unprofessional bastard.
but a very good player. i'm impressed that he hasn't really settled yet. he has incredible technique.
have you guys ever heard about the battle of the aflitos? the most incredible football match ever? (anderson and lucas leiva were both in it)

On November 26, 2005, Náutico was very close to returning to the Brazilian top division. Playing against Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense at home, in Recife, they needed a win to secure a spot in the Brazilian first division. Having already missed a penalty shot in the first half, the team were awarded another penalty kick in the second half, following a personal foul that resulted in the sending off of 4 players on Grêmio's side. That penalty kick was also missed. Náutico then had a player sent off. Despite being outnumbered 7 to 10 players, Anderson scored to Grêmio and secured a spot in the 2006 First Division league. This game came to be known as "A Batalha dos Aflitos" (The Battle of the Afflicted), a literal play on the stadiums name. Two DVDs and a book were released about this match.
whats so special about this?
and tell us some anderson stories!!!
