Well, it was quite the run, wasn't it? Maybe he is tired... bless him. Or maybe he injured his shoulder/calf/hamstring/back/ribs (delete as applicable) in the warm up for the following game.flash gunner wrote:Not sure he has been missing on the pitch for Arsenal since his run against Liverpool in the European cup 18 months agogreen gooner wrote:Where is Theo

Is Randall still at the club?and why? He is like Aliadiere has been at the club for ages yet is nowhere near the starting line up.How many times has he been on loan and still he keeps coming backSwale_Gooner1985 wrote:I reckon it will be

What's with the lack of confidence guys?!!!
Vela, Wilshire, Ramsey, Silvestre, Senderos, Gibbs and Traore would all walk into the West Brom side!
No matter what you think of Silverstre and Senderos they have played for United, Us and AC Milan in the last 3 seasons! Yes they are not world class by a long way but they are certainly above Championship quality!

Agree with you here, our supporters are in a sorry state when you are worried about playing a campionship side at home! the only worry will be whether the team gel together on the night, as there will be a mix of experience (Senderos/Silvestre) Players on the fringes (Vela, Ramsey) and real youngsters (Wilshere, Watt) so they wont have played together all at the same time, i think it sometimes works better when you go for all youth in a game like thisGoonanana wrote:What's with the lack of confidence guys?!!!

I believe we will have enough to beat them with whatever team we play but it will be an interesting game and good to see how far certain players have come

I blame MELANIE SLADE, who wouldn't stay home for abit of role-play.DB10GOONER wrote:Well, it was quite the run, wasn't it? Maybe he is tired... bless him. Although she looks a little retarded in the top photo.

I would take Mattock over Gibbs myself but think Mattock is injured.Goonanana wrote:What's with the lack of confidence guys?!!!

An on form West Brom side who had the creativity to fit in the Prem but had a poor defence. If their manager has taught them the basics of defending and one of their strikers remembers how to score, they will be in good shape to compete
On our side, we have effectively a youth team with a few squad (Traore, Vela, Ramsey, Sendesros, Silvestere, Gibbs). We have a 4th choice keeper and unless absurdly talented, a 19 year old keeper is probably not ready for a year or two. Our defensive options include two talented leftbacks who Wenger clearly doesn't trust (if we push Traore further up field, I don't think he has the dribbling ability needed so would move Gibbs into midfield). Our 4th choice rightback who has yet to establish himself when on loan, a past it cb who has struggled and Senderos, a player who can be brilliant but is mentally fragile and hardly going to be confident after we tried to sell him.
Of the midfield options, besides Gibbs/Traore, we have only Ramsey for experience while Wenger's lovechild Randall may well start ahead of more talented dm's. Up front, yes we have the returning Vela but wasn't he injured recently? Wilshire is Wilshire, of course I'm excited by that and I think most of the squad we are taking is talented but they still have to combine against a standard of player most of them have arguably not faced
My attitude towards the Carling Cup is hope for a good run and look forward to seeing the youngsters. I just don't tend to be confident before hand
