Ok one of the answers on page two ALMOST had it....so technically OLd Git was right although....

I did say THAT game, which does not mean for one minute that Arsenal were involved......

It was in fact a game that had TWO goals that had a referee element. One has been done since, but the other hasn't unless you can prove otherwise.

Derby vs. Newcastle.
Derby kicked off the second half and a whistle was blown (from the crowd) the Newcastle players stopped but Derby scored...it stood
Newcastle were incensed and spent the remainder of the game trying to score to make it 1-1 but to no avail. Then in stoppage time the barcodes got a corner, the referee stood on the edge of the six yard box and inadvertantly headed the ball into the goal from the impending cross...the fact he was surrounded by the players when the ball came in did not help.....it is now deemed to be said that referee's never stand on that spot as it makes no sense to do so.
