Song is not the problem.

The only criticism I would make of Song this season is that for a defensive midfield player, he does too much attacking!!! Even then I put the blame for that on Wenger as if I were manager I'd insist that Song rarely if ever went beyond the half-way line - especially when our full backs and even occasionally centre-backs go bombing forward willy nilly!!!

Even when Song was rubbish two years ago he could tackle quite well. This season he has been one of our best players along with Cesc and Vermaelen and RvP.

Song was very poor for their first goal (as was Clichy) and poor in general today. He is not our best player by a long shot but he is our most improved this season. Problem is he looks great against shite teams but the minute we face a top notch midfield he is found wanting to be fair. He is an average DM that sometimes plays above average. Nothing more nothing less IMHO.
