radford's perspective is this.

far far too much is made of players of the past who were part of AW's time here. there is too much harking back to players such as DB10 (true legend), bobby (radford fav), viera etc. these were great players but they have gone. we need to move on and items such as banners are awful and has a touch of sycophancy about it.

radford further says that as regards redaction they do try but that's to a large extent is the problem. surely what the stadium needs is less not more.

less stewarding

less loud adverts

less twoy

less shouting back the names

finally as much as radford loved watching PV4 in his pomp he remembers as others have stated what a *word censored* he was summer in and summer out.

radford thanks PV4 for the great times but he will NOT be singing his name or wishing him well.

Top post, I agree with all of it. Red Action are worrying too much about small things imho and not the bigger picture stuff as you've mentioned.

Firstly let me say that the point about the PV4 banner was not highlighted in the original message just by the poster on here. We don't see it as particularly more important than any of the other ideas we are working on at present.

All the ideas are usually generated from e-mails that we receive and this is how this one came about. In fact we have had numerous e-mails along the lines of 'we should do something for Paddy'. The general feeling seems to be that although his flirting with madrid etc was tiresome that we should remember the good times and not the bad.

The regular digs about us being seen as 'the voice of the fans' and that we are all 'JCLs' have been answered many times.

The fact is that rather than just moaning on message boards we actually get off our arses and talk to the club about exactly the issues that people seem to be referring to as 'the bigger picture'.

We always say we don't have all the ideas and we hold our hands up when things don't work at least we try though.

It is good to get your input even though it generally seems to be negative (just my opinion of course) and we will stack the non vote against the oui vote for Paddy.

Anyone got any ideas for the Porto second leg out of interest in terms of supporting the boys?

AlanAlan.... do you accept forum submissions as suggestions? What about some genuine backing from RA for our current talisman and captain? If I was already feeling unloved, then walked out to a stadium decked out in tributes to a player who left before I got into the first team, I'd be straight on the phone to my agent.

I agree. We have to do our best to protect our greatest asset. SO when he does go we can at least say it wasn't because we didnt put the effort in.

:? What a confidence boost for our present team by a mass praise of a past player.A player, which has already been stated, never denied rumours about moving etc but gave us great service and that should be that sing his name in recognition of service once and that's it.No banner,No t-shirts just leave us with the memories.More important is to concentrate on the present team!!!!

If Redaction want to do any good then lobby the board on reducing ticket prices, pricing of merchandise, refreshments, coming clean about the club finances, bring back standing areas so creating a atmosphere(pause for Russ Abbott song :( )and stop wenger's crusade before it's too late!!!curtail over policing, introductions of stupid bye-laws to prevent enjoying yourself. These are important to us supporters.

I'm off down the pub :D

radford suggests that the people who made the Denton flag be allowed to display it in the ground when fixtures like this come about.

the pa guy to be switched off

the stewards to be told to no longer act like nazis in their quest to prevent those who to stand

For Porto, can we have some decent banners that overhang. Every other club has them and we don't. Put some stuff on them like:

"Often outspent but never Outgunned."

"Arsenal FC: Our team, our love, our life.

Or let's just all get a flare each and light them before kick-off like they do in Greece and Turkey. Then we can chuck them on the pitch and get the fire engines to put them out.

I have an issue with that banner.

Never outgunned?

The only banners should be begging the manager to either change his opinion on transfers or fuck off. And begging our want-away players to stay.
