cheryl dumps ashley

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Not as if I care, but did she ever really NEED him??

Girls Aloud were already famous, and she was already famous as the hottest piece of ass in the band! :-P

I don't know... maybe I'm being naive, but I'm not sure she owes much of her fame to cashley, to be honest. X-Factor (or was it Pop Idol? :? ) and Simon Cowell, yes... but Cashley?? :?

Lets hope it's not "almost" this time. Without the word "almost" I'll volunteer to write a book on it and it's guaranteed to sell more than that jumped up little prick's ever did / would.
I'd buy one SteveO :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
I can actually imagine how SteveO’s book might go…

Chapter One

As I gazed longingly through his bathroom window, via the lens of my night-vision binoculars, Abou stood naked in the shower; tall and powerful as the hot water cascaded down his powerful chest. If only the rest of the world could see him in all his magnificent splendour…

Now there's a thought - Abou the Imperious

A biography of the most talented midfielder of his generation

Chapter 18

"As Abou left Yaya Toure sat on his arse (half the size of his brother's) and slid the ball effortlessly past Valdes, the Bernabeu erupted and the Imperious one stood tall amongst a sea of tickertape and you could hear the humble pie being eaten from Madrid to North London" :)

Not that i give a flying f@ck but I'd imagine in the early days of Girls Aloud (when they were plucked from obscurity) they would have been niave and bagging a footballer would have guarnteed money if thier singing career fell flat.

Fair enough.

I guess I thought Girls Aloud (and especially Cheryl) were already super-famous by the time Cashley snaked his way into her life, but you might be right on that one, norfbank. Fair point.

Yeah she did (need him)

Getting hitched to a high profile Arsenal and England player.

She was, for a member of a band, a poor dresser...and that Croydon facelift hairstyle :puke: She was like a chav. Look what she looked like at that court case a few years back - that cold have been her career finished.

Now though she doesnt need him career wise.

Right, fair enough.

norfbank said a similar thing, and I must admit that the two of you have swayed me, and I now agree with Pixie and yourselves

That said, if someone has an argument that backs up my original opinion, then you might be able to convince me to go full circle, back to my original opinion!

Well the biggest thing that happened Cheryl was The X Factor gig - far more than any music she produced. Introduced her to a new audience.

First time he allegedly cheated, she didnt have the gig...she took him back..now though.....

TBH I don't think he has ever helped her career, I know most footballers are tw*ts but she picked a pretty one of the worst examples of modern footballers there didn't she?

Him cheating on her could be the best thing that happened to her, she will get loads of sympathy and can bin him off.
