As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It may have been Wilkinson but my memory is that Shawcross followed through on the tackle even after Adebayor had been forced off the pitch. The tackle turned his ankle over and led to him being subbed - all part of the Stoke (or any small club) agenda to kick lumps out of Arsenal.
Anyone else remember this??
I won't say what I want to say in case it wasn't Shawcross . . . . . . . .
yes it was that talentless chav IQ55 prick
Cheers Skipper! He's just "not that sort of player" is he?? Just like Martin Taylor wasn't "that sort of player".

That is low mate.I hate the *word censored* as much as the next person but I would never wish that sort of harm on anyone,if it happens it happens but I would never WISH it to happen.

There you go then, proof that Shawcross is not a complete *word censored*, I would pay good money to see Greedybarndoor have the shit kicked out of him
Shows that Capello ( i think he's Tommy Cooper in disguise really) is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel picking Shawcross.Surely we have better center-backs than this twat or is Capello doing as the past couple of England managers have done and gone with media's choice?
This isn't a reaction to yesterday's ''tackle'' but he's not international class and like the continuous inclusion of the prick beckham it's just devaluing the winning of a England cap!

Given Terry's fall from grace and form and injuries to Cashley, Ferdninand, Johnson and others our back line in South Africa could be Wes Brown, Upson, Shawcross and Warnock
I can hear them quaking in the streets of Rio, Madrid and Amsterdam already.
Still if that talentless fuckwit Shawcross gets a single cap I shall be finding another nation to cheer for anyway
England caps were devalued the day Michael Ricketts,Carlton Palmer and Chris Powell got one. All useless average players.
Giving Beckham caps for being a media darling is also what started to piss me off a long time ago. I am nto ashamed to say I may have cheered when Walcott scored his hattrick but generally couldn't give a flying what England do.

Sticking up for your ex player now?...
He probably learned that shit from training with scum like Keane.
Shawcunt has already broken 2 legs and nearly 5 with disgraceful tackles on SWP, Adebayor and Heskey.
Lets hope you will still like him if he puts Rooney out of the World Cup.
He'd certainly go up in my estimation if he did. I can't stand that scouse *word censored* at the best of times. Not too serious an injury though, just something to keep him out from now until July.
