Team of the season?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I dont want to derail this thread but I just have to say it... Is anyone else concerned that Swale is allowed to shape the minds of this countries youth? :shock:

75% of them are complete and utter tossers anyway so it doesnt really make a difference!

Have to say that I still cannot fathom anybody's reasoning for including song in their team of the season :shock: :? No doubt the guy has improved but he has yet to show good enough quality in any of our big domestic games and I will always believe that the main reason why he is suddenly held in such esteem by our fans is that they are scared shitless of having denilson in the team instead of him :lol: Having a lack of alternative does not mean that he is good enough

Disagree again, augie. :wink: Judged purely on performance through-out the whole season (and not just a couple of games or the fact that we fear Denilson), I don't see too many others that play in his position that could stake a claim in front of him. :? :lol: :wink:

Song is improving every game but I can see what augie means. I think that he has the potential to stand head and shoulders above anyone else in that position in the league. Give him a year or so and he may well do exactly that.

Get ready to hold your hat.... I agree to an extent

If Song was named in the team of the season (which he wont be because the idiots choosing wont see past people like Gerrard and Lampard) i would not be surprised and he would deserve his place

but yes given a year i think he will be one of the best around
