As I said on another thread last night, the injuries can't be bad luck. Nor are they probably the result of the medical team who surely must be the best we can get. Rather:

I would say a lot of it is down to the style of play now and the type of players we're investing in. The old-school boys would have played through pain. Now we rest players for 3 games as a precaution to an injury.
The 2004 team could have gone Lehmann-Cole-Pires-Henry in a few minutes and wrapped the game up. Now we wait til we're chasing the game and expend all our energy in the second half until we do or don't get a last minute winner. Look at Vermaelen against Wolves. At the final whistle he collapsed and the phsyio came on and he went 'i'm just knackered', trying to win the game singlehandedly all second half. A few games on and he's done for the season. We need to win games in the first half and set the tempo.
Jesus, Lehmann's throws went further than Denilson does in 100x the amount of minutes
Inadequate players/teams that now know how to stifle them, means we're constantly playing at full stretch all game more often than not.
How many of our injuries come in the latter stages of a game though BT, my guess is not that many, i would be more inclined to believe it's more connected to the type of players Wenger prefers, they are mostly ball players and apart from them being generally lightweight which doesn't help most of them do not know how to tackle properly, which not only can cause more impact injuries but also many muscle tear and ligament damage injuries..
