Is it wrong that I don't want to go to Blackburn?

I think debacle should be reserved for losing to teams like York and Wrexham.... Losing to Wigan may actually prove to be a godsend as it will have finally confirmed that our squad isn't up to it. Winning that one and maybe finishing a closer 3rd or even 2nd might still have papered over the cracks....Andrei says Shhhhh wrote:Tickets now on general sale,
Seems a decent number of people have decided against travelling back to the North West after the Wigan debacle.

in answer to the original question/post.
No its not wrong that you dont want to go, but....
regardless of the score away days are always a great day out. I was practically suicidal after the wigan game but by the time we got back to London (after a shed load more beer on the train) we were having a great laugh.
away days are proper "man time" a chance to have a good drink, watch the game with genuine arsenal fans and enjoy a great away atmosphere.
So if the finances allow, the missus gives you a green card and you dont mind being hung over at work - Go for it!

Yes absolutly, I don't dispute the advantages of an awayday, the Fernhurst away pub in Blackburn is brilliant pre game. It was just this particular match as it is on Bank Holiday at 5pm, tickets released too late to get really cheap rail fares and it being late in the month (ie money running low!).no. 1 is Perry Groves.... wrote:in answer to the original question/post.

I totally understand your thought process mate as it's been a real low week or so. Even though I went to Wigan and was disgusted with what I saw on the pitch, I must say that having a beer with the other Gooners in the Red Robin before the game, and the vocal support during the game was superb and well worth the 9 hour drive.
Im looking forward to seeing loads of red and white in the pub before the Blackburn game and singing my heart out for the team I love.
Up the mighty Gunners!!!

I am very interested to find out how the hell the chartered train is getting to Blackburn.
BY TRAIN
This is a chartered train operating from Euston and calling at Watford Junction before going directly to Blackburn for the game.
Outbound - Departs Euston 11.33, Watford Junction 11.45 Arrives Blackburn 15.17.
Inbound - Departs Blackburn 20.27. Arrives Watford Junction 00.02, Euston 00.24
Standard
The journey takes 3 hours 45 minutes. In reality on seperate trains the journey from Euston to Preston takes 2 hours 8 mins and then from Preston to Blackburn takes 16!
Has anyone been on a chartered club train before?
