Argentina haven't picked Cambiasso or Javier Zanetti in their squad?! :?

What's Maradona playing at?? I thought they were 2 of his best players! they're certainly key players for Inter Milan. Odd.

Also, I would have thought Ronaldinho would have been a decent sub for Brazil, and he's been in decent form, too.

I'm telling you, if Spain get knocked out, this is England's world cup! 8)

Maradona is still on drugs, that's why.

He called up lots of home based dross as well (Palermo, Garce, Pozo, Otamendi, etc).

im afraid it isnt, we are weak all over the pitch.

We will have at most 6 world class players (A. Cole, Ferdinand, Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney). Lampard and Gerrard have never yet turned it on for england in a major tournament and i have doubts about them managing it this time, especially given the fact that Gerrard has had a very poor season.

Other than that, we might need to play Carrick who doesnt convince me the majority of the time, G. Johnson who cant defend, Heskey (lets face it, he'll start) who is utter, utter shite, and then we have the back up which is far from great. You look at sides like Argentina, Brazil and Spain and they have class right through the side.

All of them could afford to lose any one player and still have a hope of winning the world cup- if Rooney's injury problems continue, we are fucked

Still,

Spain are far and away the worlds best team. It's not fair that they can have all that attacking talent AND yet still have players like Ramos, Pique and Casillas at the back!!!

Argentina are top heavy. A mouth watering attack of Aguero, Messi and Tevez. But what else?? ok, Mascherano in midfield and Samuel at the back, but Veron is over the hill and the rest are almost unknowns! (well, to me anyway) - they struggled to qualify, and any manager who leaves out the superb Javier Zanetti & Cambiasso is a nutter!

Anyway, England....

It's our year. It is, honest.

If we can get our spinal players on the pitch and FIT we'll be a tough nut to crack and we have a player in Rooney who can win us tight games on his own, like he has done all season for ManUre. Lampard is on top form, too.

It's going to happen..... maybe

Argentina would have had a great chance, if maradona did not exist. Same with france and Raymond domenech.

The only reason why people reckon spain will not win is because history suggests so. Crap history, spain are going all the way to the finals this year.

look at brazil's midfield and attack and say that again:

gilberto silva - old, not the same
felipe melo - shit, beats even his mom but can't pass a ball
kaka - terribly off form and spent most of the season injured
elano - simply shit
robinho - tricks and dribles and nothing else
luis fabiano - below the average quality of brazilian world cup strikers (like romario, ronaldo, careca, bebeto)

and brazil's second choice midfield and attack is:

kleberson - manure reject, is utter shit
josué - wolfsburg's DM, shit
ramires - average player, now in benfica
julio baptista - dunga said on national television that if kaka isn't well julio will be responsible for the creativity in brazil's midfield, he'll carry the team      i swear, i saw it live
grafite - striker from wolfsburg, played 20 minutes for brazil in his career
nilmar - a slightly better robinho

how is that quality all over????? oh, and brazil's two leftbacks are michel bastos (who play as RIGHT MIDFIELDER in france) and gilberto (who plays as left winger in brazil).

my bets are on holland or spain.

Maradona is 14/1 to be sent off during the World Cup
