Highbury Mural vandlised!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm no fan of Cashleys but I think its a shame this mural was defaced as it is (was) actually really impressive.

I Hate Hleb wrote:After his alleged 'I Hate England' comments, maybe it was done by an English fan? :?
I reckon it was done by Cheryl (toon slapper) Tweedy/Cole...and so she needs a Damn Good Spanking and I'm the one to do it! :D  :gettowork: :teeth:

But seriously though - Like it or not Cole may be an utter C*NT as a person - a treacherous back stabbing two faced CRUNTSLOP...but he was once loved by us Gooners and played a huge part in going unbeaten something that is unlikely to happen for a Looooooooooooooooooong time ( I hope  unless its us again)....to resort to vandalism is purile and lacks any class - hate him by all means but don't damage what's 'Ours'. :belfastboy:

I'm glad I mentioned this as it's been an interesting debate.

Just to echo my original post it is shameful and was sadden but when I approched it did make me chuckle but at the same time rolled my eyes.

I don't think it can be fixed as it's made from the same material that, for example, sainsburys use to promote the schools vouchers. A strong plastic banner.

I also didn't mention that it looked like someone had 'spunked' over Wrighty!
But the same stain is on Cashley as well. :?
So it's easy clean but I doubt a punture can be fixed.

You would have thought, given that all fans ain't the same, and the easy access for all it should be protected. Pvc Glass or something.
What's to say a rival fan didn't do this (doubt it) but it could have been alot worse. A drunk rival fan staggering up from Holloway road (Or seven Sisters! ) with a spray can!

If it can't be 'fixed' (on the cheap knowing the Arsenal Board) back to its original condition - then maybe a close up of his (ex)missus snatch after a heavy pouinding might suit! - either that ot a piccy of a (shit) stained mobile phone! :D :ewwwww:

You just reminded me.
Can't be fix but easily re-printed.

Don't think it would really hurt the clubs finances to re-print but they would need to think about securing it better.

I do not hate Cole, he was a very good player for us.

I just think he was very badly advised. He comes across as a bit thick.

If you're on here and you did this "YOU REALLY ARE A PRIZE IDIOT"

Have you got the guts to own up to it and pay for the repair?

Here's an example why next years tickets may go up or whatever as the club will want to recoup any repair costs?

we want fans like we want our players with guts - not cowards!

What's the idiot gonna do, deface Adebayor etc and any former arsenal player he doesn't like. Cesc when he goes? blxxdy idiot... As much as i can't stand cole, he's still part of our history

I can't believe this has happened, what a disgrace, what is wrong with some people?

I hate Ashley Cole as much as I hate anyone who plays sport but the mural is a mural of all the players who played at our beloved Highbury not a photo of a load of blokes we like. As much as I hate Ashley he was our first choice left back in the invincibles season and contributed to some of the happiest memories a lot of us have.

If he had been one of the players around the Stadium itself I could understand anger, but even then vandalism would not be justified. People have got to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror and grow the **** up.

Pitiful. Just pitiful. I hate the little toe rag with a passion but we have to accept he was a quality player for us and was part of the greatest team our club has produced and that now he is no longer part of us. He is a chav. Some people need to get over it.

Plus, I just fucking hate mindless vandalism.

This actually upsets me.....not tears wise but the sheer fact that its an utter mess and basically tells Arsenal fans to fuck off....its ruined and its a very very sad act
