You're wrong mate.

Let's actually look at the tackles, and concentrate on the ones that are actually dangerous and reckless, before we lose credibility by moaning and lumping all the challenges into one basket.

The challenge last night was a nothing challenge.

Note: Hope the guy gets well and can play again. I think it might have been a combination of the pitch and a tangle of legs with the defender as he went down. Rooney also seemed to get his foot caught in the turf earlie....

Agreed some perspective is needed. It was a nothing tackle that did Valencia, certainly not maliciously intended. I don't think there is an increase in thugism in the game in general TBH. I think it is more a combo of faster lighter framed players and a general lapse in the teaching of the fine art of tackling. Of course there are one or two thugs out there but in all honesty I watched far worse tackles and fouls throughout the 70's 80's and 90's on a weekly basis.

Valencia is not a despicable crunt like piglips or Rooney or a diving geebag like Nani or Anderson or Rooney. He seems like a decent guy for a filth player and I hope he recovers fully. I've been where he is at the moment on a couple of occasions ( ) and physically & mentally it is just awful. :(

I could set my watch by you!

Actually haven't had a footy related injury since last October! Not even niggly ((c) Arsene Wenger) type strains or sprains!

I'm fucked this Saturday, aren't I? :? :(

granted the tackles werent malicious but Diaby was lucky to not be the 3rd break surely...that being a malicious tackle...Henry's tackle on Zamora wasn't overly reckless but was from behind and chopped him down.

The worst are obviously Smith, Taylor and Shawcross, as well as Robinson, what a surprise, all on our players but Diaby was lucky to not have that ankle broken twice.

Valencia was just extremely unlucky to come out of that tackle with his leg in 2 pieces.

Is good to see our fans getting behind Valencia and wishing him the best in his recovery, cant say the same for all Man Utd fans for when Ramsey got injured when i saw a Manc fan from work update his facebook status as "LMAO @ Ramsey", can say i didnt reply to that with the nicest of replies but he retracted it and i even saw him later that evening and he said sorry  wanker

I don't care if the fucker never kicks a ball again! there I said it! and I mean it! When I heard about it last night I gave a wry smile, and any gooner who is honest with themselves will have had similar feelings. I admit there are other I would have preferred to get injured, but they didn't so tough.
I don't believe anyone coming on here and taking the moral highground. So there !

Fekin funny. To be honest i was quite happy it happend as it only ever seems to be our players that suffer such nasty injurys.
Saying that he will probably be back in 4 months as they will send him to a world class doctor. We all know that all our injured players get sent to wengers house to live so he can give them calpol and let them watch high school musical. Hence why it takes so fekin long to come back from a bruised shin.

I must confess, without seeing the incident and knowing the severity of it, I said to my manc friend "see ya next year lol" but then I took my words back when I saw the replay.

As die hard a fan as we are/want to be, we must keep our humanity  A leg break isn't fun.

I must admit when it happened i thought with it being a manc someione might take these sorts of injuries seriously now but having watched the clip it was a nothing challenge so it will be forgotten soon. Nothing changes though hope he recovers fully
